Re: Very excited

Thanks for the head's up, Sudane!

I'm pretty sure I have one, but I haven't looked at it in years. I'll have to check mine out and play around with it.

Re: Security Orbs on Ground Level?

I agree with Kyoko -I think we have to make it a priority to keep our lands as open as possible. Any orbs that are set out should have generous time limits -no less than 30 seconds. Auto-kicking and 5 second orbs are one of the worst scourges of mainland and I'd hate to see those annoyances here. An...

Re: Too much spam???

Was the person who left a citizen, or just someone in the group? This might sound cold, but if they weren't a citizen I'd politely ignore what they're saying. I think Laura's posts to date have been appropriate and helpful, and not spammy. Part of being a community is sharing things you've found -ye...

Re: The forums suffered a cyberattack from China earlier today...

Anyway... I'm very sorry for what happened and for the downtime! Unfortunately, there was really nothing that could have been done to deal with this particular 'attack' beforehand . I hope that I might at least have given the phpBB forum software community some incentive to work on a fix (so far, t...

Changes to the ban process

Sup I'm not sure when exactly, but recently Firestorm has made changes in the way that the viewer handles adding people to the ban list in Second life (I haven't tried Opensim yet). Waking up this morning, I was able to right-click and pick "eject" and had the option to "eject" or "eject and ban" th...

Re: Northman for Chancellor: Q&A Thread

transcript when? Han, as this was an informal, casual meetup, there was no transcript taken, and as it was not an official government function, my understanding was that it was not required. Required? No. Beneficial? Undoubtably. A transcript would have been ever so nice because that way everyone c...

Actually, that's not even accurate. On the one issue I completely agree, but decided on a different course of action for myself. I understand and respect the way you feel about it. 8)

Re: A very public post about a very private matter

I am moved by the compassion of the many who have spoken with me regarding my abrupt departure. It is true, I have wrestled with the privacy issues for some time and where the lines are drawn in CDS. I swore to myself I wouldn't get involved in the politics, and then I did. My own weakness manifest...

Re: Monastary

That's great, Ranma! Can you please clarify for me what the 'Church of Peter' is? Is it Anglican or is it Catholic? When I google it, I get both results. It is the Catholic church since my understanding is it is the church of this monastery. Though Anglican/Episcopal would work as well. Would like ...

Re: Monastary

I'd be willing to make a cross of some sort, based on an anglican/episcopal[1] design. This is what I've found after a quick google https://holycrosscarlsbad.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/cross-side.png This is my favorite design, altho it's Presbyterian: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...
