I would like to congratulate the new members of the 21st RA on their successful election, and to thank the other candidates for RA and Chancellor who were willing to offer their services and take their part in ensuring we have a healthy democratic process.
Pat as my opponent in the run for Chancellor had a slogan 'building bridges'. Now is the time for each and every one of us to look deep in our hearts and reach out across any perceived divide. We truly have the opportunity to make the 10th anniversary year a celebration of democracy and the longevity of CDS.
I am currently consulting with my executive team but want very much to stress that the real team is the citizens of CDS itself. Together we can achieve even more as we move into the next ten years. I hope that we can make this anniversary year one of participation.
