Law Review - Archaic and Irrelevant Laws

Post by Lyubov »

As part of the RA's continuing law review efforts, several current laws appear to be archaic and no longer relevant. These items are on the agenda for tomorrow's RA meeting (28 October).

NL 4-26 Public Information Act, https://cdsdemocracy.org/faqs/nl-4-26-p ... ation-act/

Marked for Repeal. This Act contains multiple references to City, appointment by the Guildmaster, and a salary of 1000 L$ per month. Superseded by CDSL 13-01 Public Information Act.

NL 5-4 Franchulate Act, https://cdsdemocracy.org/faqs/nl-5-4-franchulate-act/

Marked for Archaic. This Act concerns parcels of Mainland that may apply to become territories under CDS governance. Refers to other archaic or repealed laws. No longer relevant or desirable for today's CDS.

CDSL 21-02 NL 8-4 Ninety Day Moratorium Act, https://cdsdemocracy.org/faqs/cdsl-21-0 ... orium-act/

Marked for Archaic. This was a 90-day moratorium to allow the 22nd RA to establish a Commission to review NL 8-4 Private Development Act, since repealed and replaced by CDSL 22-01 Omnibus New Region Expansion Act.

At Monday's RA meeting, the proposed actions were taken. The Code of Laws on the Portal will be updated to reflect these changes. Meeting transcript available at http://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9207
