2. Executive Report

Lyubov read the Chancellor's written report into the record:

Executive Report to the RA, 10 March 2020

The six separate sims of CDS have never looked better than they do in the light of this spring, March 2020. The roads and bridges of Alpine Meadow outline a fresh array of newly defined parcels, along with scenic waterfall and a carpet of chamomile in the meadows. The Confederation of Democratic Simulators is sound and financially stable with Citizens most recently counted at 56, but that would have been a bit higher had not a couple of patrons not been temporarily late on Tier. Please remember that when the Citizen roll is taken, the count will only include those up to date on Tier. On that note, I would like to remind of the final consideration of the Citizen list now approaching. I have only just published it inworld this past Sunday, a week late after the forum announcement, so due to my error and delay, the time to appeal to the Secretary is extended to allow the 14 days:

Any citizen may challenge inclusions or exclusions within 14 days of publication, by notecard to Lilith Ivory, the Dean of the SC. Where no challenges have been received, or once any challenges have been resolved, the Citizen List will be declared accurate and official.

CDS personifies the mutual and balanced efforts of male and female citizens, animals and people, personalities and intelligence, pulling together for a decade and half of another. We were able to present International Women’s Day on March 8th with a full day of entertainment in Locus Amoenus, where we enjoyed the Debauche dance company, Dj Babe and AleyKat who sang us out with her melodic sound. Visitors were able to immerse in our space and contemplate the role of women, now and over the decades. I am grateful for the incredible amount of work and effort required to bring this together, and thank you, Lyubov, for the personal focus and generosity that produces such a memorable event.

I want to thank everyone who came, and of course, thanks to everyone for their individual contributions, including Rosie’s art, Kyoko’s inclusion of posters from previous Celebration of SL Women posters, and of course, for all the work that Sudane, Mizou and Delia do continuously. Your energy springs forth like waterfall over our sims.

In these disquieting times we slip like shadows in the outer world, reaching for that odd hour of contemplation on a perfect, unbroken experience among our kindred from around the world in CDS.

Soro Dagostino, my partner and member of our SC, has visited recently, and communicates occasionally by email. He wishes to convey his affection and devotion to the group, and hopes to find a way to view this world with technology again, but I think we all may take heart in the lasting friendships and heart strings we find in this singular group, and the comraderie that comes with building our separate peace, season after season.

Best Regards,

Your Chancellor Emilia

10 March 2020

The Chancellor was thanked for her report.

3. LUC Report

Rosie Gray, the RA representative on the LUC, reported that work continues on Alpine Meadow. The proposed covenant has been updated. Wayfinding signage for AM is being created to help people find their way around. Rosie also reported that the Chancellor is still searching for a representative to the LUC.

6. Old Business

6.1 Discuss draft Alpine Meadow covenant, http://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9385

Rosie Gray summarized the substance of the proposed covenant updates, intended to reflect the new reparcelling. She noted that there are a few skinny 512sqm parcels, "D plots", that will also be reparcelled to be in compliance with the updated covenant. There was also a discussion concerning how to best describe the "object bonus" offered by Alpine Meadow parcels. All members agreed to an updated statement that was then inserted into the draft, "Alpine Meadow is a 30k LI region offering a 2x parcel bonus. For example, a 512sqm parcel has 468 LI.".

Lyubov motioned to approve the updated Alpine Meadow covenant, as detailed in the post http://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?p=49428#p49428 seconded by Tanoujin Milestone.

A vote was taken on the active motion.
