[09:09] Sudane Erato: oh!
[09:09] Agatha Macbeth: No, didn't think she would be
[09:09] Rosie Gray: she's too busy

[09:09] Rosie Gray: hey Leslie, you are up!
[09:10] Leslie Allandale: i have an agenda for us to fill out
[09:10] Rosie Gray: the Agenda is in the box already
[09:11] Agatha Macbeth: Not a hidden agenda at least
[09:11] Leslie Allandale: is it for today?
[09:11] Rosie Gray: yes
[09:11] Sudane Erato: yep
[09:11] Rosie Gray: Lilith made it
[09:11] Agatha Macbeth: Should be
[09:12] Leslie Allandale: good
[09:12] Leslie Allandale: it wasn't here this morning.
[09:13] Sudane Erato: have a seat... you'll get tired standing
[09:13] Agatha Macbeth: Probably can't see them yet :p
[09:13] Rosie Gray: plus you will make the rest of us nervous
[09:13] Agatha Macbeth: Took me ages
[09:13] Sudane Erato: hehe
[09:13] Leslie Allandale: got it
[09:14] Leslie Allandale: Call the meeting to order.
[09:14] Leslie Allandale: 9:14
[09:15] Leslie Allandale: Hope everyone is happy, btw.
[09:15] Sudane Erato: very happy!
[09:16] Leslie Allandale: May I have a motion to approve the agenda?
[09:16] Sudane Erato: i so move
[09:16] Agatha Macbeth: Second
[09:17] Rosie Gray: aye
[09:17] Agatha Macbeth: Aye
[09:17] Sudane Erato: aye
[09:17] Leslie Allandale: discussion?
[09:18] Leslie Allandale: Oh well. approved.
[09:18] Sudane Erato: :)
[09:18] Leslie Allandale: Motion for minutes?
[09:18] Sudane Erato: I so move
[09:18] Rosie Gray: where are the minutes?
[09:19] Sudane Erato: in the forum?
[09:19] Leslie Allandale: Per forum posting
[09:19] Rosie Gray: can't approve them without at least a link
[09:19] Rosie Gray looks
[09:19] Leslie Allandale: Agatha?
[09:19] Mizou Vavoom entered chat range (1.72 m).
[09:19] Agatha Macbeth: One moment
[09:19] Leslie Allandale: Have link?
[09:20] Mizou Vavoom is looking at the lovely coffee pot
[09:20] Leslie Allandale: Por favor.
[09:20] Sudane Erato: Mizou, plenty of coffee now :)
[09:20] Rosie Gray: wasa the last meeting Jan 11?
[09:20] Agatha Macbeth: viewtopic.php?t=10215
[09:20] Mizou Vavoom: good, nice after dinner treat
[09:20] Agatha Macbeth: Jan 14
[09:20] Leslie Allandale: 14
[09:21] Agatha Macbeth: Not November as I originally put
[09:21] Rosie Gray: oh thanks Agatha
[09:21] Leslie Allandale: tysm, Agatha.
[09:22] Agatha Macbeth: Hello Mizou
[09:23] Rosie Gray: okay I second the motion to approve the minutes
[09:23] Sudane Erato: hehe
[09:23] Agatha Macbeth: Aye
[09:23] Sudane Erato: I vote aye
[09:23] Rosie Gray: aye
[09:24] Leslie Allandale: Motion passes
[09:25] Leslie Allandale: Election of a chair to replace Lilith
[09:26] Sudane Erato: I nominate Agatha
[09:26] Agatha Macbeth: I'm already the archivist
[09:26] Sudane Erato: this would be a promotion
[09:26] Leslie Allandale: Second?
[09:27] Leslie Allandale: We would need to find a new archivist.
[09:27] Rosie Gray: are you okay with it, Agatha?
[09:27] Sudane Erato: yes
[09:27] Almut Brunswick: (you could move positions and elect a new archivist, too)
[09:28] Agatha Macbeth: I don't think I'm the right person for that to be honest
[09:28] Sudane Erato: OK... next term
[09:28] Rosie Gray: what about you, Leslie?
[09:28] Almut Brunswick: (don't be that shy^^)
[09:28] Leslie Allandale: Smiles.
[09:28] Mizou Vavoom would go for archivist if she was a member, but she isn't
[09:29] Leslie Allandale: Sure
[09:29] Agatha Macbeth: As Les is PT he seems the obvious candidate
[09:29] Leslie Allandale: We would need a new pro tem
[09:29] Rosie Gray: okay I nominate Leslie as chair
[09:30] Agatha Macbeth: Second
[09:30] Sudane Erato: second
[09:30] Leslie Allandale: others?
[09:30] Leslie Allandale: Discussion?
[09:31] Leslie Allandale: All in favor then?
[09:31] Agatha Macbeth: Aye
[09:31] Sudane Erato: aye
[09:32] Rosie Gray: aye
[09:32] Leslie Allandale: Carried
[09:33] Mizou Vavoom: /congrats
[09:33] Agatha Macbeth: Or bad luck :P
[09:33] Sudane Erato: :)
[09:33] Leslie Allandale: Any volunteers for Pro Tem?
[09:34] Leslie Allandale: Thanks for your confidence, btw.
[09:34] Rosie Gray: Sandy? would you consider?
[09:34] Agatha Macbeth: YW :)
[09:35] Leslie Allandale: It's been years.
[09:35] Sandy Burgess: I am not a member of LUC
[09:35] Rosie Gray: oh
[09:35] Sudane Erato: who are the members?
[09:35] Mizou Vavoom: not me
[09:35] Rosie Gray looks
[09:35] Sudane Erato: Delia is missing
[09:35] Rosie Gray: right
[09:35] Agatha Macbeth: Yes no Delia
[09:35] Sandy Burgess snortchuckles and looks around. Any LUC members present?
[09:35] Rosie Gray: and Lilith resigned
[09:36] Rosie Gray: since Delia isn't here, I nominate her for pro tempore
[09:36] Sudane Erato: hehe
[09:36] Agatha Macbeth: Good plan
[09:36] Mizou Vavoom: :)
[09:36] Rosie Gray: :D
[09:36] Agatha Macbeth: Second
[09:36] Almut Brunswick: (Lilth is still LUC member, no?)
[09:36] Leslie Allandale: Do we need to replace Lilith?
[09:36] Sudane Erato: so the members here now are me, rosie, leslie and agatha?
[09:36] Rosie Gray: no she has resigned
[09:36] Almut Brunswick: (I doubt she will accept due to her RL situation)
[09:36] Rosie Gray: correct
[09:36] Sudane Erato: I agree w Almut
[09:37] Agatha Macbeth: Good question...does she need to be replaced?
[09:37] Almut Brunswick: Well, Lilith was the Chancellor's citizen rep, right?
[09:37] Rosie Gray: no, I'm the Chancellor's
[09:37] Rosie Gray: Lilith was guild appointment
[09:37] Almut Brunswick: Ah, so Lilith is the Guild one
[09:37] Almut Brunswick: yes
[09:37] Leslie Allandale: Guild
[09:37] Rosie Gray: so the guild needs to appoint someone new
[09:37] Rosie Gray: luckily we have a meeting later today
[09:37] Leslie Allandale: yes
[09:37] Mizou Vavoom: at our meeting later?
[09:38] Sudane Erato: good thing we're having a mtg later!
[09:38] Agatha Macbeth is not even sure who's in the Guild
[09:38] Mizou Vavoom: :)
[09:38] Almut Brunswick: Well, easy thing: The Guild will appoint Sandy, so you can elect her on your next meeting
[09:38] Sudane Erato: good idea!
[09:38] Almut Brunswick: But...Sandy is also EM
[09:38] Almut Brunswick: eeerrrmm... RA
[09:38] Sandy Burgess chokes
[09:38] Almut Brunswick: not EM
[09:38] Rosie Gray: hmm
[09:38] Rosie Gray: what about Mizou then?
[09:38] Sudane Erato: all too confusing for me!
[09:38] Leslie Allandale: Shall we table the question untill we have a replacement?
[09:38] Mizou Vavoom: oh Mizou was waiting for that
[09:38] Rosie Gray: good idea!
[09:38] Almut Brunswick: When Sandy is RA, she cannot become the Guild rep
[09:39] Almut Brunswick: But yes, we can make Mizou the Guild rep, if she is willing and able to volunteer
[09:39] Mizou Vavoom: sure
[09:39] Rosie Gray: motion to table the LUC pro tempore until the next meeting
[09:39] Sudane Erato: who is the existing RA rep?
[09:39] Agatha Macbeth: Me I think
[09:39] Almut Brunswick: Leslie
[09:40] Rosie Gray: Delia and Leslie
[09:40] Agatha Macbeth: Oh
[09:40] Leslie Allandale: second?
[09:40] Agatha Macbeth: Wrong again
[09:40] Almut Brunswick: and Delia as citizens
[09:40] Almut Brunswick: and Agatha as RA member
[09:40] Rosie Gray: https://cdsdemocracy.org/cds-themes/lan ... ommission/
[09:40] Almut Brunswick: No, Agatha, you are right
[09:40] Sudane Erato: :)
[09:40] Almut Brunswick: I was confused :D
[09:40] Leslie Allandale: we have a motion
[09:40] Agatha Macbeth scratches her head
[09:40] Rosie Gray: oh sorry... you are correct Agatha
[09:40] Agatha Macbeth: Second
[09:41] Almut Brunswick: nods. But we have some homework later on at the Guild meeting
[09:41] Rosie Gray: RA citizen appointments are Delia and Leslie
[09:41] Sudane Erato: I vote aye... table the action
[09:41] Rosie Gray: aye
[09:41] Agatha Macbeth: Aye
[09:41] Rosie Gray needs more coffee
[09:42] Agatha Macbeth needs speed
[09:42] Leslie Allandale: Motion to postpone PT tabled.
[09:43] Leslie Allandale: I will try to sort it out.
[09:43] Rosie Gray: I already made that motion and it was seconded, Les
[09:43] Sudane Erato: and approved

[09:43] Leslie Allandale: Item 4
[09:43] Leslie Allandale: Signs
[09:44] Rosie Gray: looks like we need some more descriptions
[09:45] Rosie Gray: let me find that doc with them all
[09:45] Rosie Gray: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WwK ... sp=sharing
[09:46] Rosie Gray: let me know if you don't have access
[09:46] Sudane Erato: anyone w the link has view access
[09:46] Sudane Erato: thats thw way it should be
[09:47] Rosie Gray: yes, but you need editing access
[09:47] Sudane Erato: ahhh
[09:47] Rosie Gray: or suggesting access, anyway
[09:47] Rosie Gray: may I expand on this?
[09:47] Agatha Macbeth: Please do
[09:47] Leslie Allandale: Please
[09:47] Rosie Gray: okay, this document was started from initial descriptions that Tor made
[09:48] Agatha Macbeth nods
[09:48] Rosie Gray: then I started editing it to flesh it out more
[09:48] Rosie Gray: and it has evolved with other's input too
[09:48] Rosie Gray: into something that we can use for various purposes
[09:48] Sudane Erato: What is our job with this now?
[09:49] Sudane Erato: are we supposed to be writing it?
[09:49] Rosie Gray: but what we need for these signs, besides this kind of description that can go inside of the signs, is to create very short wordage for the signs themselves
[09:49] Sudane Erato: or are we just loomking and commenting?
[09:49] Sudane Erato: ahh... ok
[09:49] Rosie Gray: well I think if you have suggestions to expand on the descriptions that's great
[09:50] Rosie Gray: but we also need to start making decisions on what the wording for the signs themselves should say... something similar to the Heritage Rocks sign
[09:50] Rosie Gray: I don't think they should have more than that amount of info on them
[09:50] Rosie Gray: then you touch them for more info
[09:50] Rosie Gray: does that make sense?
[09:50] Sudane Erato: But they all have short simple names there
[09:50] Sudane Erato: isn't that enough?
[09:50] Leslie Allandale: A lot.
[09:51] Rosie Gray: hmmm... so you are suggesting that the sign for the kirche just say "Kirche"?
[09:51] Sudane Erato: well... why not?
[09:51] Agatha Macbeth: Or Die Kirche?
[09:51] Sudane Erato: or Neufreaistadt Kirche
[09:52] Sudane Erato: yeah
[09:52] Rosie Gray: well there you go... a little bit more and it's nicer to me
[09:53] Sandy Burgess: I am missing a mention of the ancient monument on top of MoCA
[09:53] Sudane Erato: on top??!!
[09:53] Rosie Gray: you mean the art piece?
[09:53] Almut Brunswick: in correct German, you would either say "Kirche Neufreistadt" or "Neufreistädter Kirche". I favor the first variant, because it saves you the umlaut
[09:53] Sandy Burgess: Yes - sorry - Art piece
[09:53] Rosie Gray: oh thank you Almut... see this is what we need exactly
[09:53] Sudane Erato: I like Almut's suggestion
[09:54] Agatha Macbeth: Yes
[09:54] Sandy Burgess: And please do not put a "The" in front of Kirche
[09:54] Rosie Gray: indeed
[09:54] Sudane Erato: :)
[09:55] Rosie Gray: so, if those of you that speak and write German could correct those things on the document, that would be a great start
[09:55] Almut Brunswick: The Rathaus is in fact the City Hall, but no longer used by the RA.
[09:55] Agatha Macbeth: Do we have more than one?
[09:55] Almut Brunswick: Sandy is native German speaker as well
[09:56] Sudane Erato: fantastic!
[09:56] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[09:56] Almut Brunswick: Kirche Neufreistadt is perfect this way
[09:56] Agatha Macbeth: I'd settle for that then
[09:57] Rosie Gray: so if we think of the 'heading 2' parts as for the actual signs, perhaps you could go through the doc and make those corrections? Sandy and Almut?
[09:58] Sandy Burgess: Yes I can go through it
[09:58] Rosie Gray: then I guess we should cross-reference to the survey results for signage and make sure we have a name and a description for all of them with at modicum of votes anyway
[09:59] Rosie Gray: thanks Sandy
[09:59] Almut Brunswick: Nods
[09:59] Sudane Erato: Better to include too many than to leave ones out
[10:00] Almut Brunswick: (heading2? Where can I find them?)
[10:00] Rosie Gray nods
[10:00] Rosie Gray: if you look at the left hand side of the doc, Almut
[10:00] Rosie Gray: where the Summary is
[10:00] Almut Brunswick: ah second level
[10:00] Rosie Gray: there is an outline
[10:00] Rosie Gray: yes
[10:00] Sudane Erato: i see it!
[10:01] Sudane Erato: Does every sign have Heading 1?
[10:01] Rosie Gray: not heading 1
[10:01] Rosie Gray: heading 2
[10:01] Rosie Gray: so the first one is Kirche Neufreistadt
[10:01] Sudane Erato: so where does Heading 1 appear?
[10:01] Almut Brunswick: Kendras Uhrenturm for example is heading 2
[10:02] Sudane Erato: (i mean, where on the sign?)
[10:02] Rosie Gray: heading 1 wouldn't appear on the signs
[10:02] Sudane Erato: i see
[10:02] Rosie Gray: because they are the welcome to the region information
[10:02] Sandy Burgess: Do we want mixture of language like "Marktplatz & town centre"
[10:03] Sudane Erato: You mean english and german?
[10:03] Sandy Burgess: Yep
[10:03] Sudane Erato: good question :)
[10:03] Rosie Gray: personally I would like to see them in German
[10:03] Almut Brunswick: Sandy, good point. Marktplatz is a "name", town center is a definition
[10:03] Rosie Gray: for NFS
[10:03] Rosie Gray: it's a different story for some of the regions though
[10:03] Almut Brunswick: Marktplatz & Stadtzentrum
[10:04] Rosie Gray: but what does everyone think?
[10:04] Almut Brunswick: the & saves us the und / and
[10:04] Sudane Erato: well, NFS, AM, MON and FDS all have German names
[10:04] Sandy Burgess: Marktplatz also is market place
[10:04] Sudane Erato: but not all German sim names
[10:04] Rosie Gray nods
[10:04] Almut Brunswick: Kuhfluchtwasserfälleauffangbeckenableitung :D
[10:04] Sudane Erato: LOL :)))
[10:04] Mizou Vavoom: lol
[10:04] Rosie Gray: lol
[10:05] Agatha Macbeth: Bless you
[10:05] Sudane Erato: hehe
[10:05] Sandy Burgess sees Almut cringe on that name
[10:05] Rosie Gray: I don't know... what are your thoughts?
[10:05] Sudane Erato: that's the cow's waterfall and something else? :)
[10:05] Almut Brunswick: Cow Escape Waterfalls Storage Basin Drainage
[10:05] Sudane Erato: hehe
[10:06] Rosie Gray: for me these names are fun and also interesting
[10:06] Sandy Burgess: And you find names like that in Bavaria
[10:06] Almut Brunswick: I know :D
[10:06] Agatha Macbeth: No wonder Lil resigned!
[10:06] Sudane Erato: very neat :)
[10:06] Rosie Gray: hehe
[10:06] Sudane Erato: Germans can make VERY long names :)
[10:06] Almut Brunswick: Well, back to business. Shall we include our proposals in the namely mode?
[10:06] Sudane Erato: sure!
[10:06] Rosie Gray: what do you mean by 'namely'?
[10:07] Leslie Allandale: yes
[10:07] Sudane Erato: in the Comment mode?
[10:07] Rosie Gray: suggesting mode would be best
[10:07] Rosie Gray: then others can make comments to them
[10:08] Sudane Erato: isn't "Suggestion" a "Comment"?
[10:08] Rosie Gray: yes, just as Almut has done with the Kendra Clock
[10:08] Rosie Gray: no, they are different
[10:09] Rosie Gray: if you highlight a text you want to suggest changing
[10:09] Rosie Gray: and you are in suggesting mode, you can type over it, or delete it, and it becomes a suggestion
[10:09] Almut Brunswick: I add comments right now
[10:09] Rosie Gray: then someone else can make a comment on your suggestion
[10:09] Almut Brunswick: you can comment my comment
[10:10] Almut Brunswick: ah it works
[10:10] Sudane Erato: How do you go into "Suggesting Mode"?
[10:10] Rosie Gray: Almut, yours is a suggestion, and I just made a comment on your suggestion
[10:10] Rosie Gray: click on the arrow where it says 'editing' for the dropdown menu
[10:10] Rosie Gray: and select 'suggesting'
[10:11] Sudane Erato: I don't see that... but
[10:11] Sudane Erato: if you highlight text
[10:11] Rosie Gray: now see where Almut has made a suggestion by highlighting Neufreistadt Schule, but added a comment with it
[10:11] Sudane Erato: and the right click
[10:11] Sudane Erato: you can "Suggest Edits"
[10:11] Rosie Gray: now if I 'resolve' the suggestion it will take that entire comment, instead of just the suggestion
[10:11] Rosie Gray: let me show you
[10:12] Rosie Gray: oh damn... no sorry she was just commenting, not suggesting
[10:12] Rosie Gray: yes, Sudane... suggesting is the way
[10:12] Sudane Erato: Oh!... I see... the pencil on the upper right
[10:13] Sudane Erato: Below SHARE
[10:13] Almut Brunswick: The Schloss needs a name :D
[10:13] Mizou Vavoom: Isn't Schloss a name?
[10:13] Sudane Erato: It means Castle
[10:13] Almut Brunswick: Schloss Grauenfels or so (Grey's Rock translated)
[10:14] Sudane Erato: oh... Rock
[10:14] Almut Brunswick: No, it is just "castle"
[10:14] Almut Brunswick: Grey rocks ^^
[10:14] Sudane Erato: ahhh :)
[10:14] Almut Brunswick: Schloss Gummistiefelroh (Rubber Boot's Rest^^)
[10:14] Sudane Erato: we're getting lessons in German and in Google Docs! :)
[10:15] Rosie Gray: hehe
[10:15] Rosie Gray: don't we have something about the schloss on a sign already?
[10:16] Almut Brunswick: In worst case, name it Neues Schloss (new castle(
[10:16] Rosie Gray: anyway... see if you go through the doc making 'suggestions', and then people can comment on them, it's easier than doing it here
[10:16] Sudane Erato: It IS actually a new castle... we blew up the old one
[10:17] Rosie Gray: we call it Neuschloss on the building itself
[10:18] Rosie Gray: is that incorrect?
[10:18] Almut Brunswick: Neuschloss is not a German word
[10:18] Agatha Macbeth: Seems odd then
[10:18] Almut Brunswick: There is a town in the UK named Newcastle, but this is slightly different
[10:19] Sudane Erato: yes, quite different
[10:19] Agatha Macbeth: There are two in fact :p
[10:19] Almut Brunswick: if at all, say NeuENschloss
[10:19] Sudane Erato: ahhh
[10:19] Almut Brunswick: like Neuenburg (Neufchatel) in Switzerland, but that means 9 castles :D
[10:19] Sudane Erato: Isn't Neufreistadt a combing of words itself?
[10:19] Sandy Burgess: Actually there is a Wikipedia on Neuschloss
[10:19] Almut Brunswick: Or Schloss Neuburg :D
[10:20] Almut Brunswick: Really?
[10:20] Agatha Macbeth: There's a wiki on everything it seems
[10:20] Almut Brunswick: But in fact...something historic would be fancier
[10:20] Sudane Erato: yeah
[10:20] Almut Brunswick: like Schloss Ulrikaburg
[10:20] Almut Brunswick: :D
[10:20] Leslie Allandale: Looks at watch.
[10:20] Almut Brunswick: (sounds spooky...)
[10:21] Almut Brunswick: Yes, Leslie is right
[10:21] Sudane Erato: oh god no
[10:21] Sandy Burgess: The problem is there is no historic family that ruled Neu Freistadt and could serve as name patron
[10:21] Sudane Erato: oh... I see
[10:21] Sudane Erato: We were originally Neualtenburg
[10:22] Sudane Erato: but we lost that name
[10:22] Sudane Erato: so we changed it
[10:22] Sandy Burgess: There is a famous Altenburger Schloß
[10:22] Rosie Gray: :D
[10:22] Rosie Gray: does everyone understand how to 'suggest' in the document?
[10:22] Sandy Burgess: How about Schloss Neualtenburg?
[10:23] Mizou Vavoom: Schloss Freistadt?
[10:23] Sudane Erato: Well, I think we've left Neualtenburg behind
[10:23] Leslie Allandale: Could we wrap up 4 and move on to 5?
[10:23] Sudane Erato: would be good not to draw attention to that name
[10:23] Rosie Gray: good, Sandy, but you could have highlighted 'Neuschloss' first and typed over it
[10:23] Mizou Vavoom nods
[10:23] Sudane Erato: sure!
[10:23] Almut Brunswick: Schloss Neualtenburg is perfect
[10:23] Rosie Gray: thank you Leslie
[10:23] Leslie Allandale: yay.
[10:24] Sandy Burgess: Ah - ok
[10:24] Sandy Burgess: I don't know the story that lead to the name change
[10:24] Sudane Erato: Schloss Neufreistadt
[10:24] Mizou Vavoom: heavy story
[10:24] Sudane Erato: yeah :(
[10:24] Almut Brunswick: Schloss Neufreistadt is good
[10:24] Rosie Gray looks at the clock too
[10:24] Sandy Burgess: Schloss Neufreistadt it should be
[10:24] Sudane Erato: yep
[10:24] Mizou Vavoom remembers Sudane goign to many meetings in the time
[10:25] Sandy Burgess: Ok - some evening in the pub
[10:25] Leslie Allandale: Paid search listings, anyone?
[10:25] Sudane Erato: jeez... I am solid mtgs for the next 3 hours
[10:25] Sudane Erato: yes!
[10:25] Rosie Gray: ak, Sudane!
[10:25] Leslie Allandale: comments?
[10:25] Sudane Erato: but Leslie, I don't see any action item there
[10:26] Leslie Allandale: Then 6?
[10:26] Sudane Erato: Naming places really isn't our thing, except informally
[10:26] Agatha Macbeth: Even better :p
[10:26] Rosie Gray: looks like those items are wrapped up for now

[10:27] Sudane Erato: 6, yes. The prims on Monastery are a problem
[10:27] Agatha Macbeth: Too many?
[10:27] Leslie Allandale: Monastery prims?
[10:27] Sudane Erato: solve temporarily by taking a parcel off the market
[10:27] Sudane Erato: but I question if that's what we really want to do
[10:28] Sudane Erato: whether we should have a team to reduce prims
[10:28] Leslie Allandale: What could be permanent?
[10:28] Sudane Erato: reduce prims
[10:28] Sudane Erato: on MON and FDS
[10:28] Sandy Burgess: What is so prim heavy in the Monastery?
[10:28] Rosie Gray: is Friedsee in the same situation?
[10:28] Sudane Erato: they are the homesteads, and perennially tight
[10:28] Agatha Macbeth: Aha
[10:28] Sudane Erato: I haven't counted FDS
[10:28] Agatha Macbeth: Enough said
[10:29] Sudane Erato: but its always close
[10:29] Rosie Gray: I'm sure there are a few things here and there that could be removed in Mon
[10:29] Sudane Erato: exactly
[10:29] Rosie Gray: a bench here, a bird there
[10:29] Leslie Allandale: can we eliminate rentals?
[10:29] Sudane Erato: you mean eliminate revenue?
[10:30] Sudane Erato: would be nice
[10:30] Leslie Allandale: sighs
[10:31] Rosie Gray: I think the Chancellor should assign 1 or two people to go around deciding on what should be removed
[10:31] Sudane Erato: i agree
[10:31] Rosie Gray: and just do it
[10:31] Rosie Gray: not removing the waterfall!
[10:31] Rosie Gray: :D
[10:31] Sudane Erato: :)
[10:32] Sandy Burgess: Not the waterfall - where should the cows then go ...
[10:32] Sudane Erato: well... the project can also involve seeking lower prim solutions
[10:32] Rosie Gray: lol
[10:32] Rosie Gray: oh true
[10:32] Agatha Macbeth: What I was thinking
[10:32] Rosie Gray: but I can think of 2 benches right away, where there are 3 and 1 would suffice
[10:33] Sudane Erato: someday maybe we can find good substitutes for the Botanical roads
[10:33] Rosie Gray: and there's little animals around that you can't even see unless you are close up
[10:33] Sudane Erato: yes
[10:33] Sudane Erato: anyway
[10:34] Sudane Erato: i suggest we take Rosie's suggestion
[10:34] Sudane Erato: and ask Moon to solve the problem with helpers
[10:34] Leslie Allandale: I agree.
[10:34] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[10:34] Sudane Erato: no vote needed
[10:35] Leslie Allandale: Wo will follow up?
[10:35] Sudane Erato: I will take with Moon
[10:35] Sudane Erato: talk
[10:35] Rosie Gray: thank you Sudane
[10:35] Leslie Allandale: Ty.
[10:35] Sudane Erato: She's my next meeting :)

[10:36] Leslie Allandale: Any new business?
[10:36] Sudane Erato: not from me
[10:36] Rosie Gray: the review of covenants
[10:36] Rosie Gray: Moon wanted us to look at them
[10:36] Leslie Allandale: Covenants?
[10:37] Rosie Gray: yes, she found outdated stuff on the LA specific covenant
[10:37] Leslie Allandale: I could work with her
[10:38] Leslie Allandale: On that.
[10:38] Rosie Gray: I think that the LUC members could work through the covenant identifying areas
[10:38] Rosie Gray: I got the impression that we should come up with suggestions, Les
[10:38] Rosie Gray: Moon has a lot to do
[10:39] Rosie Gray: but...
[10:39] Rosie Gray shrugs
[10:39] Leslie Allandale: Great
[10:39] Agatha Macbeth: Whatever works
[10:39] Rosie Gray: she mentioned to me that for instance there is a Zone H on the covenant, but no H on the region itself
[10:39] Leslie Allandale: Exactly.
[10:40] Agatha Macbeth: Erk
[10:40] Sudane Erato: There have been pretty massive parcel changes on LA
[10:40] Rosie Gray: https://cdsdemocracy.org/cds-themes/locus-amoenus/
[10:40] Rosie Gray: yeah
[10:40] Agatha Macbeth: So it's just a question of the wording being out of date?
[10:40] Rosie Gray: not the wording so much as the zoning
[10:40] Rosie Gray: I think
[10:40] Agatha Macbeth: Right
[10:41] Rosie Gray: but they probably all need reviewing
[10:41] Leslie Allandale: Another ,doc?
[10:42] Rosie Gray: don't we all love them by now?
[10:42] Rosie Gray: lol
[10:42] Agatha Macbeth: Wassup doc
[10:42] Rosie Gray: this current covenant is now 8 years old
[10:44] Leslie Allandale: What' the best way forward, Rosie?
[10:44] Rosie Gray: I would say someone create a new g-doc and start by copy/paste the current covenant into it, then we proceed to compare it to what is actually in existence on the region
[10:45] Rosie Gray: and make suggestions on the doc for changes
[10:45] Leslie Allandale: Yes.
[10:45] Rosie Gray: I just checked all the other covenants and they are much newer than the LA one
[10:45] Leslie Allandale: My thoughts, too.
[10:45] Sudane Erato: thats interesting
[10:46] Rosie Gray: the general covenants might need a looking at too
[10:46] Leslie Allandale: Any volunteers?
[10:46] Rosie Gray: they were last updated Sept 2017
[10:47] Rosie Gray: okay I'll start the document and invite all of you
[10:47] Leslie Allandale: .... me?
[10:47] Rosie Gray: if nobody else wants to do it
[10:47] Rosie Gray: oh.. .you want to do it, Leslie?
[10:47] Leslie Allandale: You do too much.
[10:48] Leslie Allandale: I accept.
[10:48] Rosie Gray: great!

[10:48] Leslie Allandale: 8.
[10:48] Sandy Burgess: I would like to make a suggestion for a new built in CDS
[10:48] Leslie Allandale: Anything else?
[10:48] Rosie Gray: not from me
[10:48] Agatha Macbeth listens to Sandy
[10:49] Leslie Allandale: Sandy?
[10:49] Sandy Burgess: I got the idea when there was talk about a train system and that the hill is too steep to connect CN with NF
[10:50] Sandy Burgess: So I thought we could connect them with one of two ways that are fitting the theme
[10:50] Rosie Gray: oh my!
[10:51] Sandy Burgess: The first alternative is a cable car (not like in LA - of is it SF?) but like in the Alps
[10:52] Sudane Erato: hehe
[10:52] Rosie Gray: great old pic
[10:52] Sandy Burgess: This is one of the earliest but the style would need to be decided.
[10:52] Leslie Allandale: a tram
[10:52] Leslie Allandale: Of course.
[10:52] Sandy Burgess: The other possibility:
[10:53] Sandy Burgess: ah ... this one i liked - its showing there can be more transported than just people
[10:53] Almut Brunswick: a funicular
[10:53] Sandy Burgess grins
[10:53] Rosie Gray: hehehe
[10:53] Presentation Board:
[10:53] Presentation Board:
[10:53] Almut Brunswick: We need garbage trucks! :D
[10:53] Sudane Erato: i wonder if it can transport donkies
[10:53] Rosie Gray: I have a garbage truck!
[10:53] Sandy Burgess: The other possibility:
[10:54] Sandy Burgess: A Cog Railway.
[10:54] Leslie Allandale: There is a lift tram behind Cathy's Cass Roadhouse.
[10:54] Sandy Burgess: the steepest in the world can make a 50% raise
[10:55] Sandy Burgess: This is somewhere in the Alps - I think Swizerland but might be northern Italy
[10:55] Sudane Erato: hehe
[10:55] Sandy Burgess: Oh - and a third possiblity ... well
[10:55] Rosie Gray: lol
[10:56] Sandy Burgess: ... possible - I have a working prototype somewhere in my inv. but have not looked at it in 2 years
[10:56] Presentation Board:
[10:56] Presentation Board:
[10:57] Sudane Erato: i think its a neat idea... but probably a huge project
[10:57] Sandy Burgess: I suggested that in the Artisans Guild but was told that LUC would be in charge - so I am here
[10:57] Sandy Burgess: It certainly is not for next week
[10:57] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[10:57] Sudane Erato: hehe
[10:57] Rosie Gray: the LUC studies this kind of thing and then makes a suggestion about it
[10:57] Rosie Gray: the guild members are usually the ones to execute
[10:58] Leslie Allandale: Can you make a presentation for the LUC the next meeting?
[10:59] Sudane Erato: Guys, I must leave... I am open to any "next meeting" time on a weekend.
[10:59] Sandy Burgess: Yes I thought so Rosie. And I would love to be involved in scripting the thing
[10:59] Mizou Vavoom: Sorry people i need to take an RL rest still recovering
[10:59] Agatha Macbeth: TC Su
[10:59] Leslie Allandale: for a discussion?
[10:59] Agatha Macbeth: And Mizou
[10:59] Rosie Gray: I love the idea, Sandy!
[10:59] Mizou Vavoom: bye for now
[10:59] Sandy Burgess: What do you mean with presentation Leslie?
[10:59] Rosie Gray: bye Mizou
[10:59] Rosie Gray: see you soon
[10:59] Leslie Allandale: Me too.
[10:59] Sandy Burgess: See you Mizou
[11:01] Rosie Gray: can we make it our first item of discussion next meeting?
[11:02] Sandy Burgess: Sure - just what kind of presentation (beyond theses slides) should I make?
[11:02] Leslie Allandale: Flesh out the ideas and make a suggestion that we can discuss.
[11:02] Leslie Allandale: a proposal.
[11:03] Leslie Allandale: You will be first up.
[11:03] Sandy Burgess: I still don't get exactly what? A route? A prototype? ... looks confused
[11:04] Sandy Burgess: And then its two possibilities ... which one?
[11:05] Leslie Allandale: Are the equal to you?
[11:05] Leslie Allandale: What would work the best?
[11:06] Sandy Burgess: Both have their merits. I think the cable car is easier to integrate because It needs less land. But the cog railway is nice too
[11:06] Sandy Burgess: The cog railway is probably a bit easier to script since it would base on existing railway scripts
[11:07] Leslie Allandale: We can discuss it at greater length next time. Unless the members have questions or comments now.
[11:07] Agatha Macbeth: Not me
[11:07] Sandy Burgess: ... but since I have not done a vehicle so both is new to me anyway.
[11:07] Rosie Gray: I'd like to discuss it further, but I'm afraid I'm really needing a break
[11:07] Rosie Gray: can we pick up next time?
[11:08] Agatha Macbeth: Same here :p
[11:09] Agatha Macbeth: Dinner awaits
[11:09] Sandy Burgess: Yes. This is just a wild idea at the moment.
[11:09] Leslie Allandale: Does that work for you, Sandy?
[11:09] Sandy Burgess: It sure does.
[11:09] Leslie Allandale: I like the idea.

[11:10] Leslie Allandale: Shall we set a time for next meeting?
[11:10] Sandy Burgess: And I sure need some help in fleshing out the things ... and making the meshes and stuff I don't have the proficiency anyway.
[11:10] Almut Brunswick: Sandy, I used to script a similar small railway some moons ago
[11:10] Almut Brunswick: and I can help with the meshes
[11:10] Sandy Burgess smiles. Great then we have starting point
[11:11] Leslie Allandale: Yay.
[11:11] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[11:11] Almut Brunswick: a light rail system Made in Germany - finally some risk and action in the CDS :D
[11:11] Agatha Macbeth: Vorsprung durch technik
[11:11] Rosie Gray: I would love to avoid having 2 meetings in CDS the same day
[11:11] Almut Brunswick: Seitensprung durch Slapstick :D
[11:12] Agatha Macbeth: Or that
[11:12] Leslie Allandale: Suggestions for meeting time?
[11:12] Sandy Burgess: We could script a system failure that keeps people in the air for a while ... but perhaps its not even necessary to do that on purpose grins
[11:12] Rosie Gray: Feb 26?
[11:12] Agatha Macbeth: Preferably a saturday
[11:12] Rosie Gray: 25th then?
[11:12] Rosie Gray: or March 4
[11:12] Agatha Macbeth: Ok for me
[11:13] Leslie Allandale: Same time?
[11:13] Agatha Macbeth: Either
[11:13] Agatha Macbeth: Yep
[11:13] Sandy Burgess: Works both for me
[11:13] Leslie Allandale: either.
[11:13] Rosie Gray: how about March 4 and we aim to have the signs suggestions done for then?
[11:14] Agatha Macbeth: Sounds good
[11:14] Leslie Allandale: done.
[11:14] Rosie Gray: what time? I can put it on the calendar now
[11:14] Leslie Allandale: Motion to adjourn?
[11:15] Leslie Allandale: 9 am
[11:15] Agatha Macbeth: Second
[11:15] Rosie Gray: thanks
[11:15] Rosie Gray: aye
[11:15] Agatha Macbeth: Aye
[11:15] Leslie Allandale: aye.
[11:15] Leslie Allandale: ty, all
[11:15] Agatha Macbeth: Thanks guys
[11:16] Leslie Allandale: Especially guests.
[11:16] Rosie Gray: whew!
[11:16] Sandy Burgess: See you later. I'll get a quick dinner before Artisans Guild
[11:16] Rosie Gray: see you later
[11:16] Agatha Macbeth: Bye for now
