1 Administrative Business
1.1 Approval of the Agenda
Motion to approve the agenda as presented. Jerry 1st, Rosie 2nd, all in favour, motion carried.
1.2 Review and Approval of the Minutes of the Tenth RA Meeting on May 6, 2023
Motion to approve the minutes as presented. Rosie 1st, Sandy 2nd, all in favour, motion carried.
2 Executive Report
The Chancellor updated the Assembly with news of the 14 May Government Hours Q&A meeting and the first Artist in Residency concert with musician Joaquin Gustav. Moon has also been sharing on the forum updates on the latest CDS builds, including the new Stella Marina bridge. Occupancy figures remain as before, around 70, and there is still no news about the new Amiais@SL neighbour and the water connection. 3 Land-Use Commission Report
Sandy reminded the Assembly of the current projects being discussed and progressed by the Land-Use Commission, including a public Cable Car transport system that will connect Colonia Nova and Neufreistadt. Landmark signage is also being developed, and a covenant review is underway.
4 New Business
4.1 Is the RA willing to hold an RA-meeting on our build at SL20B?
The 20th annual Second Life birthday celebration (SL20B) will be from 22 June to 11 July. In order to publicise the CDS community and showcase its democratic principles and processes, the Assembly discussed Sandy's suggestion that the next Assembly hold an external meeting, open to all, within the CDS SL20B parcel. Motion to recommend to the next Representative Assembly that they hold an RA meeting on the CDS build at SL20B. Almut 1st, Gwyneth 2nd, all in favour, motion carried.
5 Citizen Concerns
No concerns were raised.
6 RA Member Concerns
Gwyneth shared with the Assembly the reasoning behind her decision not to stand as a member of the Assembly next term, whilst reiterating her ongoing commitment to the community. She was thanked for her comments and members expressed their sadness that she was not running again.
