Post by Leslie Allandale »

After a discussion of how to proceed without the lra or pro tem, Tanoujin Milestone, Em Warden and Leslie Allandale select Tanoujin to chair the meeting begin with Lilith Ivory, Callipygian Christensen, Widget Whiteberry, Cindy Ecksol and RG Cooperstone in the gallery
[12:14] Leslie Allandale moves to approve the agenda. It is seconded and passed.
[12:16] Leslie Allandale announces, to some finger-shaking, that there are no minutes from the previous meeting and moves that he consoidate the transcript and present it at the next meeting. Motion is seconded and unanimously approved.
[12:19] Delia lake joins the gallery
[12:20] Leslie Allandale moves to table language discussion until "we have Ranma and Han." Tanoujin Milestone restates, " egarding the proposal to clarify language of the meeting procedures," and seconds. Motion is approved unanimously.
[12:21] Since the Chancellor was absent, Rosie's address is skipped.
[12:22] Citizens Concerns -- none
[12:24] Tanoujin Milestone: brought to our notice that we should make sure the update of NL7-1 (Government Question Hour: http://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php? ... 0&start=30) is on the agenda for the next meeting, as it was not included in this one.
[12:31] Tanoujin Milestone: so we are at the new business, Discussion on change the costs of prims in Friedsee
[12:32] Em Warden moves that the RA approve the rise in prim price in Friedsee: (for private plots) to $0.0395 US, up from $0.0277 US
Widget Whiteberry provides the following background:
When the RA instructed the Estate Owner to request that LL downgrade Friedsee from a full region to a homestead the region, changes occurred immediately. As a full region, Friedsee was allotted 15000 prims by LL; as a homestead, the total prim allotment became 3750, only ¼ of what the region previously had. In addition to providing fewer prims for homesteads, LL also charges the region owner a higher rate per prim than they charge owners of full regions. So the net is we have fewer prims available on Friedsee now and although the total cost we pay LL is now $95 per month, down from $295 per month, as these numbers show, we pay LL more per prim.
Why request an increase to $0.0395?
The redesign of Friedsee has 3114 prims out of the 3750 designated for private plots, leaving only 636 for public lands, fewer public prims than on any other CDS region. If we were to sell all 3114 private prims at
[12:33] Widget Whiteberry: 0.0277, it would bring in only $89 US, $6 short of the amount due each month to LL for Friedsee. At this charge per prim it is impossible for Friedsee to carry itself even if it were always at full occupancy.
$0.0395 US represents an amount per prim that enables Friedsee to pay for itself at an occupancy rate of 77%, in keeping with occupancy decisions that have been made in the past regarding other CDS regions.
Further discussion regarding this recommendation is in the LUC transcript of 17 July 2016 meeting.
