LUC members: Almut - Chairperson, Em Warden - Citizens Rep, Sudane, Brooke - RA Rep, Mizou - Secretary
Absent members: Delia - Pro Tempore
Guests: Rosie - Chancellor, Tor, Lilith, Kyoko

1.Call to order at 12:07 PM.

2. Discussion and approval of today's agenda: approved and voted by all members present at 12:08 PM.

3. Discussion and approval of the recent meeting minutes (October 4, 2020)

http://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=9620: approved and voted by all members present at 12:11 PM.

4. Old Business:

A. Missing roadway to a parcel close to the lake at Monastery:
Brief status update (Almut):
• The two walkways are not yet implemented, the old sluice head or the peninsula have got their full set of textures, diffuse with some "aging", specular and normal maps.
• The season change textures need to be created and added to a HUD system for use by all EM’s as for all public objects like the Botanical and the new Skye options.

B. LA Coast Line Renewal project for the southwest corner (Sudane)
Sudane's proposal: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nss ... sp=sharing
• After the renewal of the coastline, Sudane will add Italian Simay houses which fit the theme and are transitional and will make it possible to rent the land as quick as possible. See the houses on the marketplace https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/SI ... ge/4859151
• Sudane’s proposal is ready to be officially presented to the RA: voted by all present at 12:52 PM.

5. New Business:

A. Road/path mesh project: Sudane (RA expects a report)
• Road samples are in the NFS valley currently and they are all the Skye Enchanted Path. This is the only one I have found which has season change, is smaller size and an approximately suitable style but not the exact right style.

6. Miscellaneous

A. Excursion planning to ‘Ville De Cœur’ by Mizou:
• Architecture: not much mesh, only plain buildings, nicely placed a round, a lot seem empty
• Nature: I was not impressed at all
• Activities: quite a lot, see their newsletter 'The Voice', if you want one i can give you a copy, as shown on the table.
• They have water sims between their land sims and space to have boats navigating, I really think that is missing in CDS and for those of us who lived on Cosy Island that was also a big attraction point

7. Next Meeting:

- Proposal: Sunday, November 8, 12 PM SLT which may clash with the next RA Candidates debate see https://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9608

8. Adjourned: at 13:34

Hello Mizou,

please add that this use of prefab Italian Simay houses is meant as a temporary thing to speed up the implementation and that I stated my objections about their use in general. Check the transscript regarding that point again.

Thank you!

Almut

Please read the text carefully and see the word 'transitional' included to denote the temporary aspect of the Simay houses and the reason why.

Hello Mizou,

thank you for the explanation. As a non-native speaker, I was not familiar with the use of the word "transitional" in this context. Now it makes perfect sense.
