[2024/01/21 10:07] Almut Brunswick: 2 Executive Report (Tor) with presenting the revised Budget for the 40th Term: https://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?t=10502
[2024/01/21 10:07] Almut Brunswick: Mr. Chancellor, the stage is yours
[2024/01/21 10:07] Tor Karlsvalt: ok thanks
[2024/01/21 10:08] Tor Karlsvalt: I will be quick I think
[2024/01/21 10:08] Tor Karlsvalt: Thanks you madam LRA,
First some really good news. A week ago last Thursday I learned that LL is opening a new Welcome Hub which will devote a sizable area to exhibits from communities in SL. LL finds that new residents often do not know who to connect with when they rez. To help with that, LL will re-start the mentor program and have many communities establish exhibits at the welcome hub.
[2024/01/21 10:09] Tor Karlsvalt: I reached out to Madori Linden. She informed me that CDS had been slated for a Round 2 and a February rollout. However, they needed a group to step up and be a contingency plan should one of the presenters drop out. We had only four days to come up with a concept. I am pleased to announce that Moon, Rosie, Sudane and myself furiously worked to pull together a plan. We did so well that although the contingency was not needed, our sprit and responsiveness earned us a place in Round 1. You can view the mock up of the display in AM here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Alpine%20Meadow/23/117/100
[2024/01/21 10:09] Jerry McNally: Wow that's amazing! Well done!
[2024/01/21 10:09] Tor Karlsvalt: At present we have a spot assigned and will build the display at that location in the next day or two. Inspection is slated for the 24th, installation at the hub is slated for January 30th. An opening party is planned for January 31st. More on the later as info comes available.
[2024/01/21 10:09] Almut Brunswick: Impressive
[2024/01/21 10:10] Tor Karlsvalt: The soft opening of the Discord Server has been a success. At present we have 33 members and many have been active and contributed excellent suggestions. We have a joiner and have begun placing it around CDS. A link for joining is here: https://discord.gg/xnAUHaP9pN
[2024/01/21 10:10] Tor Karlsvalt: On the Budget:
A revised budget was posted to the Forum https://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?t=10502
[2024/01/21 10:11] Tor Karlsvalt: There is a loss, however, I have been conservative regarding projected income. In recent days we have had some good developments in that area. So I am hoping we can continue improving our balance sheet and end the term in a positive manner. As you can see the web hosting fee increased substantially and is a big hit.
[2024/01/21 10:11] Tor Karlsvalt: I hope you can approve the budget.
[2024/01/21 10:11] Tor Karlsvalt: Thank you
[2024/01/21 10:12] Tor Karlsvalt: I pop back to my seat. coming over was a click error.
[2024/01/21 10:12] Almut Brunswick: Thank you, Tor. Any questions to Tor in general or about the budget?
[2024/01/21 10:12] Tor Karlsvalt: Hi Indy
[2024/01/21 10:13] Jerry McNally: /me raises a hand
[2024/01/21 10:13] Almut Brunswick: Hello Indy, the agenda is in the blue cube.
[2024/01/21 10:13] Indy (doctorken): Hello
[2024/01/21 10:13] Almut Brunswick: Jerry please
[2024/01/21 10:14] Jerry McNally: Thanks. No question really, just to say thanks for Tor and the team for that work with the mentor program. The best way to improve the budget is to get more citizens, and it seems they're working flat out to do that, not just with the mentor program but with all their other activities. Full steam ahead!
[2024/01/21 10:14] Jerry McNally: Done
[2024/01/21 10:14] Tor Karlsvalt: /me is annoyed that for some reason my url on a prim isn't working.
[2024/01/21 10:14] Agatha Macbeth: Awww
[2024/01/21 10:15] Rosie Gray: well we can see it on the forum anyway
[2024/01/21 10:15] Tor Karlsvalt: Thanks Jerry. We currently have 82 citizens but for a bit of late tier.
[2024/01/21 10:16] Almut Brunswick: Then let's take a look on the budget. When there won't be any open questions or substantial objections, I suggest that we vote about the budget.
[2024/01/21 10:16] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL yes
[2024/01/21 10:16] Jerry McNally: I second that
[2024/01/21 10:17] Almut Brunswick: Ok, then I expect your vote about the revised budget as presented.
[2024/01/21 10:17] Jerry McNally: Aye
[2024/01/21 10:17] Rosie Gray: aye
[2024/01/21 10:17] Kyoko Jarvinen-Barzane (samara.barzane): NAY
[2024/01/21 10:17] Almut Brunswick: Aye
[2024/01/21 10:18] Almut Brunswick: Sandy?
[2024/01/21 10:18] Sandy Burgess: aye
[2024/01/21 10:18] Almut Brunswick: Thank you. The budget is approved with the majority of votes.
[2024/01/21 10:18] Almut Brunswick: 3 Artisan Guild Report (Rosie)
[2024/01/21 10:18] Tor Karlsvalt: Thank you all.
[2024/01/21 10:18] Almut Brunswick: Rosie please.
[2024/01/21 10:18] Rosie Gray: thank you
[2024/01/21 10:19] Rosie Gray: we had a Guild meeting on January 13
[2024/01/21 10:19] Rosie Gray: unfortunately the Minutes aren't posted yet from that but I will fill you in on what I remember
[2024/01/21 10:20] Rosie Gray: we had a lot of discussion again over certain aspects of the Locus Amoenus covenant update, and still have to revise the final draft document
[2024/01/21 10:21] Rosie Gray: having reached a more-or-less agreement to remove specifics about the water parcels
[2024/01/21 10:21] Rosie Gray: so that should come shortly and be posted for review on the forums before the next RA meeting
[2024/01/21 10:21] Rosie Gray: then we also almost finalized the General Covenants review having had to check on one thing
[2024/01/21 10:22] Rosie Gray: that was to be sure that remembering that the restrictions on number of parcels per person was removed... which a couple of us remembered but couldn't find the decision. Lilith has found that
[2024/01/21 10:23] Rosie Gray: so now it's ready to be published for review on the forums too, and to be voted on next RA meeting
[2024/01/21 10:23] Rosie Gray: those discussions took all of our time and everything else on the Agenda was tabled.
[2024/01/21 10:23] Rosie Gray: done
[2024/01/21 10:23] Almut Brunswick: Thank you, I'm curious to read that because I missed the last AG meeting due to RL.
[2024/01/21 10:24] Rosie Gray: /me nods
[2024/01/21 10:24] Almut Brunswick: Any questions about Rosie's report?
[2024/01/21 10:24] Jerry McNally: /me raises a hand
[2024/01/21 10:24] Almut Brunswick: Jerry please
[2024/01/21 10:26] Jerry McNally: Thanks. It sounds like there's lots to look forward to on the Forums. Has there been any movement from the SC about recognising that the AG is now part of the government area, rather than the NGO area?
[2024/01/21 10:26] Jerry McNally: Done.
[2024/01/21 10:26] Rosie Gray: ah... yes sorry I forgot to mention that
[2024/01/21 10:26] Rosie Gray: Delia was there and it came up, but no nothing has been done
[2024/01/21 10:27] Jerry McNally: Ok thanks, just a stickler for that kind of thing
[2024/01/21 10:27] Almut Brunswick: It is starting to become annoying, to be honest.
[2024/01/21 10:27] Rosie Gray: good point and we need to keep on it
[2024/01/21 10:28] Almut Brunswick: Maybe we should show more presence on the SC meetings again.
[2024/01/21 10:28] Jerry McNally: Could there be an action on this I could record on the minutes? Who will do what, by when?
[2024/01/21 10:29] Rosie Gray: Might I suggest another notecard to all of the SC members, from the LRA?
[2024/01/21 10:29] Almut Brunswick: Yes, that is a good idea, signed by me and the Gildemeisterin
[2024/01/21 10:29] Rosie Gray: yes
[2024/01/21 10:29] Jerry McNally: /me nods
[2024/01/21 10:29] Almut Brunswick: and in CC to the whole bunch of SC members
[2024/01/21 10:31] Jerry McNally: It sounds like the Artisan Guild is pretty busy these days
[2024/01/21 10:31] Almut Brunswick: Yes, and this is good thing.
[2024/01/21 10:31] Rosie Gray: you should come to a meeting sometime, Jerry!
[2024/01/21 10:32] Jerry McNally: Maybe i will, it's something I'd like to learn more about...
[2024/01/21 10:32] Almut Brunswick: In contrast, I'm a bit concerned that we don't have any New Business nor Old Business to discuss these days. So whenever you think we have something to become topic of our meetings, let me know.
[2024/01/21 10:32] Rosie Gray: /me nods
[2024/01/21 10:33] Almut Brunswick: (Jerry, be careful! They are looking for a reliable record writer... ^^^)
[2024/01/21 10:33] Jerry McNally: (Noted, Almut haha)
[2024/01/21 10:33] Rosie Gray: lol, actually Lilith is good
[2024/01/21 10:33] Rosie Gray: but RL sometimes gets in the way
[2024/01/21 10:33] Almut Brunswick: I know, Rosie.
[2024/01/21 10:34] Almut Brunswick: Let's move to 4 Citizen Concerns
[2024/01/21 10:34] Sandy Burgess: Be careful, Jerry - I went to one of those meetings and never was let out after.
[2024/01/21 10:34] Rosie Gray: :D
[2024/01/21 10:34] Jerry McNally: lol Sandy
[2024/01/21 10:34] Almut Brunswick: This is just because Sandy can pronounce "Gildemeisterin" the correct way.
[2024/01/21 10:34] Tor Karlsvalt: lol
[2024/01/21 10:35] Rosie Gray: lol
[2024/01/21 10:35] Sandy Burgess: I can also pronounce Kuhfluchtwasserfälle (just to annoy Almut XD )
[2024/01/21 10:35] Rosie Gray: not to mention the spelling
[2024/01/21 10:35] Tor Karlsvalt: Gilda myster in
[2024/01/21 10:35] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[2024/01/21 10:35] Tor Karlsvalt: Spelling is another story.
[2024/01/21 10:35] Almut Brunswick: /me winds in pain on the floor
[2024/01/21 10:35] Rosie Gray: lol
[2024/01/21 10:35] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL
[2024/01/21 10:35] Agatha Macbeth: /me calls fisrt aid
[2024/01/21 10:35] Almut Brunswick: Almost, Tor, almost...
[2024/01/21 10:36] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[2024/01/21 10:36] Tor Karlsvalt: Hopes the medic as bourbon
[2024/01/21 10:36] Almut Brunswick: When there aren't any concerns, may Tori give us a brief insight in her work at the MoCA? I've seen her already busy there these days.
[2024/01/21 10:36] Rosie Gray: /me wonders what concerns the dear citizens may have
[2024/01/21 10:36] Almut Brunswick: BOURBON???
[2024/01/21 10:37] Tor Karlsvalt: It's medicine
[2024/01/21 10:37] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[2024/01/21 10:37] Agatha Macbeth: This citizen has no concerns at present
[2024/01/21 10:37] Tori Landau: /me puts down the bowl of trifle
[2024/01/21 10:37] Almut Brunswick: Agatha, that is good news
[2024/01/21 10:37] Agatha Macbeth: /me nods
[2024/01/21 10:38] Rosie Gray: Tori has trifle!
[2024/01/21 10:38] Kyoko Jarvinen-Barzane (samara.barzane): YUMS
[2024/01/21 10:38] Almut Brunswick: Rosie understood truffles
[2024/01/21 10:38] Almut Brunswick: with bourbon infused
[2024/01/21 10:38] Almut Brunswick: :D
[2024/01/21 10:39] Kyoko Jarvinen-Barzane (samara.barzane): Tiri has TRIFLE
[2024/01/21 10:39] Kyoko Jarvinen-Barzane (samara.barzane): even better than truffles
[2024/01/21 10:39] Almut Brunswick: /me is a bit confused right now. Maybe her command of English is not sufficient here.
[2024/01/21 10:40] Tori Landau: My first priority was to get the word about the next exhibition, opening on 24th February so I hope that everyone is having fun creating items for 'AI & I': an exploration of our relationships with Artificial Intelligence
[2024/01/21 10:40] Kyoko Jarvinen-Barzane (samara.barzane): smiles
[2024/01/21 10:41] Tori Landau: I also wanted to update the current galleries list as the last list was from 2021
[2024/01/21 10:41] Almut Brunswick: thumbsup
[2024/01/21 10:41] Rosie Gray: yes!
[2024/01/21 10:41] Kyoko Jarvinen-Barzane (samara.barzane): well I dropped you a couple of backup images incase you didn't get enough to fill the two floors
[2024/01/21 10:41] Tori Landau: Many thanks must go to Kayly, one of the gallery owners, who then volunteered to undertake that for me and had completed it
[2024/01/21 10:41] Tori Landau: so it will be available very soon
[2024/01/21 10:42] Jerry McNally: Yes it was nice to bump into her earlier
[2024/01/21 10:42] Tori Landau: Then it was a case of giving the current exhibitions a bit of publicity on Flickr and thanks to some of those images being in an SL Art group we had visitors
[2024/01/21 10:43] Almut Brunswick: Jerry, we don't know you that snappy :D
[2024/01/21 10:43] Tori Landau: one of whom is a RL digital artist
[2024/01/21 10:43] Tori Landau: Also on the 'to do' list is adding the museum to the BBB passports (excuse me if I haven't phrased that correctly)
[2024/01/21 10:44] Almut Brunswick: I just wonder if it would make sense to set up a MoCA Discord room in our CDS Commons as well.
[2024/01/21 10:44] Tori Landau: both a booth for the museum and event specific booths
[2024/01/21 10:44] Tori Landau: so I will be in contact Sandy °͜°
[2024/01/21 10:44] Tor Karlsvalt: /notes that CDS is very active regarding stamps. We must have about six in CDS.
[2024/01/21 10:44] Sandy Burgess: If you need any help I am on the BBB
[2024/01/21 10:45] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[2024/01/21 10:45] Tori Landau: We also have a group coming to the museum on 20th March at 9am - Valibrarian Gregg is leading it
[2024/01/21 10:45] Jerry McNally: /me makes a mental note to dig out his passport again
[2024/01/21 10:45] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[2024/01/21 10:45] Jerry McNally: Is that with the VWEC Tori?
[2024/01/21 10:46] Almut Brunswick: So that means that the VWEC connection is good, too?
[2024/01/21 10:46] Tori Landau: and I'm arranging for Rhiannon Chatnoir and Lyr Lobo to give a talk - date yet to be decided
[2024/01/21 10:46] Rosie Gray: nice!
[2024/01/21 10:46] Kyoko Jarvinen-Barzane (samara.barzane): /me has a new American passport and pans to leave on a 22 day cruise from Seattle to Yokohama
[2024/01/21 10:46] Tori Landau: let me check the actual group name Jerry, one moment, but yes - all a part of VWEC
[2024/01/21 10:46] Jerry McNally: Great stuff
[2024/01/21 10:47] Tori Landau: the library-education group called ACRL Virtual Worlds Interest Group
[2024/01/21 10:48] Tor Karlsvalt: /me throws out an idea that the lower chambers of the Praetorum complex would be a good library space.
[2024/01/21 10:48] Tori Landau: apart from that there will probably be some building work - the reception area needs modernised and there are some items for sale which are not obvious as being for sale so so a small sales area is needed
[2024/01/21 10:48] Almut Brunswick: a museum shop`
[2024/01/21 10:48] Jerry McNally: Every gallery needs a gift shop!
[2024/01/21 10:48] Rosie Gray: :D
[2024/01/21 10:48] Tori Landau: Exactly °͜°
[2024/01/21 10:49] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL
[2024/01/21 10:49] Tor Karlsvalt: It does indeed!
[2024/01/21 10:49] Tori Landau: I'm also going to use some mesh non player characters
[2024/01/21 10:49] Rosie Gray: Puzzles and t-shirts and little models
[2024/01/21 10:50] Kyoko Jarvinen-Barzane (samara.barzane): and some actual "paintings too!
[2024/01/21 10:50] Tori Landau: Sudane and Delia are helping with the museum's history so I thought why not use a mesh character for that (along with providing a notecard)
[2024/01/21 10:50] Almut Brunswick: fridge magnets
[2024/01/21 10:50] Tori Landau: and perhaps another couple through the museum to bring some life to it
[2024/01/21 10:50] Tori Landau: in my head the historian is the retired headmaster from the school
[2024/01/21 10:52] Tori Landau: I'm visiting other galleries and museums in SL to see how they operate too
[2024/01/21 10:52] Tori Landau: Done
[2024/01/21 10:53] Rosie Gray: ··•°•··..☺ Applauds! ☺ ..··•°•··..
[2024/01/21 10:53] Kyoko Jarvinen-Barzane (samara.barzane): well done Tiru
[2024/01/21 10:53] Almut Brunswick: Thank you, Tori, for your great work and your "mouthwatering" report. We should ponder to schedule a regular MoCA report in future agendas!
[2024/01/21 10:53] Kyoko Jarvinen-Barzane (samara.barzane): *Tori
[2024/01/21 10:54] Indy (doctorken): Sorry to everyone about my mic turning on on its own. 8^(
[2024/01/21 10:54] Almut Brunswick: Let's move to 5 RA Member Concerns
[2024/01/21 10:54] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[2024/01/21 10:54] Rosie Gray: no worries, Indy
[2024/01/21 10:54] Jerry McNally: /me raises a hand again, if no one else has anything?
[2024/01/21 10:54] Tori Landau: /me returns to her trifle
[2024/01/21 10:54] Almut Brunswick: Jerry please
[2024/01/21 10:54] Jerry McNally: Thanks. Not a concern but an update really.
[2024/01/21 10:55] Jerry McNally: Everyone seems really busy, so I've been re-motivated to pick up the CDS website refresh project Moon, Mizou, Rosie and I started ... (checks notes)
[2024/01/21 10:56] Jerry McNally: ...almost a year ago. I hit a few technical snags, but the aim is that I implement the theme and organisation that I modelled here https://secondjerry.life/cds-refresh/
[2024/01/21 10:57] Jerry McNally: I've picked up the project again and will hopefully have something concrete to report at the next meeting, and on the Forum and Discord and all the rest.
[2024/01/21 10:57] Jerry McNally: Done.
[2024/01/21 10:57] Almut Brunswick: secondjerry....he has cloned himself!
[2024/01/21 10:57] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[2024/01/21 10:57] Rosie Gray: Looking forward to the refresh, Jerry!
[2024/01/21 10:57] Tor Karlsvalt: I like the look
[2024/01/21 10:58] Tor Karlsvalt: nice and clean
[2024/01/21 10:58] Jerry McNally: Thanks Just having difficulties with WordPress not behaving as I was expecting.
[2024/01/21 10:58] Tori Landau: Looks great!
[2024/01/21 10:58] Jerry McNally: Nothing worthwhile was ever easy though, as I keep saying
[2024/01/21 10:59] Sandy Burgess: So that explains how he manages all the secretay stuff
[2024/01/21 10:59] Jerry McNally: If only, Sandy haha
[2024/01/21 11:00] Rosie Gray: /me notes that the website refresh will need the removal of the LUC and the movement of the Guild
[2024/01/21 11:00] Rosie Gray: ;)
[2024/01/21 11:00] Almut Brunswick: May I propose to put it on the "official" agenda as New Business when you feel that it has reached a matured status?
[2024/01/21 11:01] Jerry McNally: Yes Rosie, and yes Almut
[2024/01/21 11:01] Almut Brunswick: Thank you
[2024/01/21 11:01] Almut Brunswick: Any other messages or pleasant surprises like that?

[2024/01/21 11:06] Almut Brunswick: So with the exception of Sandy, it would work for us?
[2024/01/21 11:06] Sandy Burgess: What about Feb 11th
[2024/01/21 11:06] Almut Brunswick: Hmm, would work for me, too
[2024/01/21 11:07] Rosie Gray: either works for me too
[2024/01/21 11:07] Kyoko Jarvinen-Barzane (samara.barzane): works for me too

[2024/01/21 11:08] Almut Brunswick: Ok then, let's slate it in the calendar. I learned a word from Tor today :D

[2024/01/21 11:08] Almut Brunswick: Which instance of Jerry
[2024/01/21 11:08] Rosie Gray: for which day then, the 11th?

[2024/01/21 11:09] Almut Brunswick: yes
[2024/01/21 11:09] Kyoko Jarvinen-Barzane (samara.barzane): thanks
[2024/01/21 11:09] Almut Brunswick: but you added it at 10:30
[2024/01/21 11:09] Almut Brunswick: ah
[2024/01/21 11:09] Rosie Gray: just fixed that too ;)
[2024/01/21 11:09] Almut Brunswick: I bet that was because of the AG meething
[2024/01/21 11:09] Almut Brunswick: yay
[2024/01/21 11:10] Rosie Gray: I see that there is a BBB party on the calendar now on the 27th, but without a time
[2024/01/21 11:10] Rosie Gray: same da`y as our Guild meeting
[2024/01/21 11:10] Almut Brunswick: Probably not the same time
[2024/01/21 11:10] Almut Brunswick: and the AG was first
[2024/01/21 11:11] Sandy Burgess: I just got confirmation from Mandry who is DJing on 27th. Its gonna be noon - right after the AG meeting
[2024/01/21 11:11] Almut Brunswick: Then the AG agenda should be short enough not to need tabling a dozen further topics again ;)
[2024/01/21 11:11] Sandy Burgess: its part the BBB4B celebration ... many bees
[2024/01/21 11:12] Rosie Gray: well we can always table, but good to keep items on the Agenda so they don't get lost
[2024/01/21 11:12] Agatha Macbeth: Bzzz
[2024/01/21 11:12] Tor Karlsvalt: lol
[2024/01/21 11:12] Almut Brunswick: Whatever BBB is
[2024/01/21 11:12] Rosie Gray: methinks that Almut doesn't have a passport!
[2024/01/21 11:12] Tor Karlsvalt: /me would like to see the full name of BBB in German.,
[2024/01/21 11:12] Sandy Burgess: Bellisserian Bureau of Bureaucracy. they have an Embassy in the Rathaus and they issue all our stamps
[2024/01/21 11:13] Almut Brunswick: Yes, this is correct! I don't have a passport
[2024/01/21 11:13] Tor Karlsvalt: And give the CDS a lot of BBBuzzzz
[2024/01/21 11:13] Almut Brunswick: Booze? :d
[2024/01/21 11:13] Sandy Burgess: We got a few new residents through that stamp stuff
[2024/01/21 11:14] Tor Karlsvalt: We sure did!
[2024/01/21 11:14] Almut Brunswick: Well, not everybody can have the honor to be shanghaied by Rosie *smirks*.
[2024/01/21 11:14] Rosie Gray: /me gives Almut a POKE!
[2024/01/21 11:15] Almut Brunswick: Anyway, before we dig yet deeper into details, let's adjourn the meeting.
[2024/01/21 11:15] Tor Karlsvalt: oooo
[2024/01/21 11:15] Jerry McNally: Sorry, just going back to the next RA meeting on February 11, 10:00 - could it be a little later, maybe 10:30? That would be helpful.
[2024/01/21 11:15] Tor Karlsvalt: just a sect
[2024/01/21 11:15] Tor Karlsvalt: sec
[2024/01/21 11:15] Tori Landau: Has Rosie been out lassoing people people from her horse...

[2024/01/21 11:15] Rosie Gray: 10:30 is fine for me
[2024/01/21 11:16] Almut Brunswick: So Rosie, please re-correct the time :D
