AM building tasks!

Post by Moon Adamant »

Hello to all builders :)

We defined a list of tasks at today's Guild meeting, and we are calling everyone interested in lending a hand to pick a task.
Please refer to this thread here for more details, also important notice on IP licensing:
http://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php? ... 295#p9295
If you are interested in any of the tasks, please answer this thread or IM me.

Tasks are:

- Help in finishing terraforming (must be ready by friday).
- Landscaping: we will hold a treefest on saturday in which we will set the vegetation.
- Bridges: there are four of them, we propose that you pick one. From top to down:
- High Slope Bridge
- AT1 Bridge
- Monastery Bridge
- Backwater Bridge
If you build a bridge... you can name it! Mind only that bridge names (and all street names) must be approved later on.
- Lodge: Lodge will be placed near plot BS2.
- D plots: They come in two units - Top Plots (4) and Hamlet plots (3), and also an isolate plot DS5. (must be ready by Dec 6th)

edit: tried to fix the link, but no luck :(
edit: made some important text bold.

I volunteer to build the High Slope Bridge (the highest bridge). It's a great idea to start naming public infrastructure.

I'll volunteer to work on the AT1 Bridge :)

Sounds like a fun challenge!

While I am not a good builder, I can do scripting. I am not sure what could need to be scripted, but if I need I will do it.

For the moment, i am trying my hand at the DH plots (the ones in the hamlet) since these have also a deadline for the 6th. If anyone goes 'oooh, i wanted to do those!', just say it and they're yours! :)

What do you think, now that terraforming is done, about moving the lodge up the mountain, closer to the sim crossing? BS2 is awfully far down to serve the purposes of ski/raft lodge.

Sadly, the monastery plot would have been the best place, being close to the river and high on the mountain.

But maybe if we build close to the sim line, we can accomodate bigger crowds for entertainment? They've had luck with this in other sims. BS2 is nice and central, and we lose half the mountain. Even the prim land in NFS would be better, imho.

I'd love to build the lodge. Once details are ironed out I'd probably do some concept work to get feedback on.
