July 2007 RA Elections Results

Post by Flyingroc Chung »

Hi folks, I won't have time for an announcement party, so I will just post the results now. Note that this is unofficial, but I do not foresee that the SC will arrive at a different result:

There were 76 eligible voters; 50 (or 66%) voted.

The raw Borda-count scores are:
CSDF: 61
Simplicity: 50
CARE: 39

Using the Sainte-lague method of seat allocation, we have:
CSDF: 3 seats
patroklus murakami*
jon seattle
moon adamant

Simplicity: 2 seats
brian livingston*
beathan vale

CARE: 2 seats
bromo ivory*
theprincess parisi

The starred people are those who got the most votes in their faction. Thus, Patroklus Murakami is the new LRA.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the process.

First off, I would like to thank the voters of the CDS for taking the time to participate in the democratic process and vote. Your votes have resulted in an interesting mix of freshman and senior representatives representing the three factions that ran this election. As a result, I expect some serious debates and conflicting view points, but with mutual respect and cooperation, the resulting legislation will be all that much better.

Secondly, I would like to enthusiastically congratulate the other representatives-elect. I look forward to working with each of you over the next term to best serve the citizens of the CDS.

Lastly, I would like to reemphasize that I represent the citizens of the CDS. If you have any concerns, suggestions, or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via IM, e-mail, or in world.

Again, thank you for your support and long live the CDS!

Hi Brian! You took the words right out of my mouth (keyboard?)

I would like to thank all of the people who voted - your vote makes CDS stronger and more vibrant! I would like to thank those that put their trust in CARE for this next term - we will work with the other parties to help make CDS the vibrant community it deserves to be!

The RA has many challenges ahead of it - and I think there is enough new blood and seasoned experience to make the upcoming term a dynamic one and one that hopefully will get a lot accomplished!

I would like to extend congratulations to CSDF and Simplicity - and I very much look forward to working with each of them in the next term.

I am sure that Pat and Moon will have more to say presently, but since they are both are one quarter turn around the planet in RL it is getting late in their day. I will just say that I am very pleased with the results of this election, not just for the CSDF but also for Simple and CARE. We have all been successful and shown that democracy can work in Second Life.

I know that every single one of of the people who will be serving in the RA will make a very fine legislator and we are all putting foremost the good of our community. We are ready to work hard together to make the CDS a better place for all our citizens.

Congratulations everyone!

A big thanks to everyone for voting! This is a good turn out, higher than last time around. Congratulations to the SP (Brian in particular!) and the CSDF, well done! Thank you FR for being so accurate and fast despite having a very busy RL :D

I consider our CDS still fragile, but these results look very healthy :D Let's hope the trend extends to the Scientific Council, of which the application procedures are [url=http://forums.neufreistadt.info/viewtop ... 2:2aofket1]here (see "last point").[/url:2aofket1]

My congratulations go out to all the members of the new RA, and particularly to Pat, to whom I'll turn over the chair shortly. Best wishes for a productive term.

Congratulations to all the members of our new RA. And also, Iwould like to thank everyone who stepped up and offered themselves as candidates. That so many of our citizens are willing to serve speaks well for our democratic state.
