I read the SC transcript and have a small clarification to make. Since I can't reply there I will do it here.

Jo had recently finished working on Al-Andalus at the time she decided to leave CDS. I heard she was selling her land and asked her if that was true. She said that was indeed the case, due to increasing RL commitments, and that she was looking for a buyer - but that eventually she would want to return and re-acquire her CDS citizenship. I informed her that, should she wish to retain her CDS citizenship, she was more than welcome to join CRAEDO, which at the time had more than enough land to support her as citizen too. I then explained to her that our constitution allows groups with enough land to support more than one citizen as long as each citizen makes a minimum monthly payment in person. She said "Okay.." with no other comment, and never got back to me on this matter. For obvious reasons, I didn't want to look like I was pushing her to do so, so I didn't insist or contact her back. What is certain, however, is that Jo was fully aware before she sold her land that she had the option to retain her CDS citizenship by joining a group with enough land to support her CDS citizen status -because I told her so

As Deputy to the Chancellor, I took the time to make sure she was aware of this option, even if this wasn't listed in my "job description" (lol there is no such thing for a "Deputy to the Chancellor"). Whether a CDS public official should be responsible to inform ALL those selling their lots in the CDS about the option available to them to retain CDS citizenship by joining a group with enough land to support his/her minimum requirements is a matter for the Chancellor to decide.
