Sonja Strom: That speaks to why I don't think we should take any actions between now and the meeting time next week.
[14:44] ThePrincess Parisi: i think nuCARE is a very cooperative faction
[14:44] Sonja Strom: No actions, no problem.
[14:44] ThePrincess Parisi: and i dont think we are really the opposition to anyone
[14:44] ThePrincess Parisi: we want the best for CDS
[14:44] Sonja Strom: Just a continuation of today's schedule.
[14:44] Symo Kurka is Online
[14:44] ThePrincess Parisi: yeah .. so about beathans bill.. can we talk about that
[14:44] ThePrincess Parisi: and can we talk about the rest of the sim stuff
[14:44] You: hmmm
[14:44] ThePrincess Parisi: and then i had an item
[14:44] Cindy Ecksol: May I speak here on a point oforder?
[14:44] ThePrincess Parisi: we cant vote?
[14:44] You: I don't want to take further votes for one week
[14:44] ThePrincess Parisi: sure cindy
[14:44] Sonja Strom: I think we should just talk more next week.
[14:44] ThePrincess Parisi: let cindy vote
[14:45] You: without PAt or the CSDF reps
[14:45] ThePrincess Parisi: i mean talk
[14:45] ThePrincess Parisi: they get seven day votes
[14:45] ThePrincess Parisi: whats wrong with that
[14:45] ThePrincess Parisi: if we have quorum they get seven day
[14:45] You: I think we should have an other business discussion -- but move that no further votes be taken unti 12:00 SLtime next Sundat
[14:45] Gwyneth Llewelyn was taking a look at the procedures and the legislation ;)
[14:45] ThePrincess Parisi: good gwyneth
[14:45] Sonja Strom: Second Beathan
[14:45] Cindy Ecksol: "to continue a meeting" means that discussion stops, buut the agenda remains open. So once you vote to continue, you cannnot have formal discussions nor vote until you reconvene. Normally that would be next week, but you could decide otherwise if you chose.
[14:45] Gwyneth Llewelyn: In fact, there is nothing to forbid the RA to endlessly meet
[14:46] Sonja Strom: Thanks Cindy!!
[14:46] Cindy Ecksol: it's a procedure used when time runs out but the agenda has not been completed
[14:46] Cindy Ecksol: this would seem to qualify.
[14:46] ThePrincess Parisi: wow my dream come true.. RA forever
[14:46] You: agree - Cindt - -that is my undrestanding and it ws my intent
[14:46] Sonja Strom: me too
[14:46] Symo Kurka is Offline
[14:46] ThePrincess Parisi: so ppl can come talk to us all week and be in session , the citizens can be heard?
[14:46] ThePrincess Parisi: thats a good thing
[14:46] Cindy Ecksol: the SC will probably want to look at this because I do not recall that there is anything in the RA procedures to address it, but it's probably pretty safre
[14:46] Cindy Ecksol: "safe
[14:47] Sonja Strom: we can talk, sure, but not vote.
[14:47] You: TP -- all discussion are off the record -- but the agenda stays open
[14:47] You: and no votes can be taken
[14:47] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Technically, no new points can be added on the agenda ;)
[14:47] Cindy Ecksol: yes, and it should be expected that Pat will pick up the current agenda where it left off rather than start on a new one at the next meeting
[14:47] Sonja Strom: Thanks Gwyneth, good point.
[14:47] You: yes -- no new points can be added to agenda
[14:47] ThePrincess Parisi: we have two items on the agenda that didnt get discussed
[14:47] ThePrincess Parisi: at all
[14:47] You: three actually
[14:47] ThePrincess Parisi: oh
[14:48] MT Lundquist: ok
[14:48] Gwyneth Llewelyn: But the ones on the agenda... well... there is nothing to forbid them to be discussed.
[14:48] You: process, volunteers, greener sims
[14:48] Cindy Ecksol: exactly! that's where things should pick up next week, assuming that the SC agrees that this was all "legal"
[14:48] Sonja Strom: yes, and that is ok, so long as they come up next week.
[14:48] Foxfyre Ihnen is Online
[14:48] Sonja Strom: we did a fair amount today, I think.
[14:49] ThePrincess Parisi: our chancellor is on his way
[14:49] Gwyneth Llewelyn: The SC *cannot* interefere on any of the RA's internal procedures!
[14:49] You: LO -- that's true Gwyn
[14:49] any1 Gynoid is Online
[14:49] You: hmmm
[14:49] You: so -- what a can of worms -- we'll see how this works out
[14:49] Sonja Strom: well, we can be responsible for our own decision.
[14:49] Sonja Strom: I think we made the right choice.
[14:49] ThePrincess Parisi: me too
[14:49] Sonja Strom: What better to do?
[14:50] MT Lundquist: i agree
[14:50] Cindy Ecksol: the only other choice would have been to adjourn
[14:50] Sonja Strom: Right.
[14:50] Sonja Strom: And who would have had the right to send that to a vote?
[14:50] ThePrincess Parisi: well .......
[14:51] Cindy Ecksol: this was probably more appropriate considering that Pat left when there were still items under discussion -- and I think maybe a motion on the table?

Let's keep things simple enough to be fair, substantive enough to be effective, and insightful enough to be good.
