Hello all,

Calling for agenda points for our Board meeting that will take place at the School on the next Sunday, April the 6th. Please answer this thread to add more points.

I will start by listing the points that are tabled or undiscussed from last meeting:

2- prepare CN actual situation map (submitted by Symo)
3- general regulations draft for new Sim buildings (submitted by Symo)
4. CDS information Centre (submitted by Alex)
5. Textures and Texture content theft (submitted by Rose)

I would also like to suggest that we discuss the Board Guild Meeting hours, if possible.

As i will be out of the country for the next two weekends, i'd request that my agenda request be tabled until i return, after april 15.

There are two items that I would like to see the New Guild consider, although they would not have to be on its agenda for next week.

1. Possible development of the southeastern portion of the walled city of Neufreistadt. Some previous discussion about this topic can be seen here: http://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1037

2. Possible design, location and construction of an office for the Chancellor. A thread for discussion about this is to be found here: http://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1714
This discussion could also take into consideration the possibility of offices for the SC and the RA, but personally I do not think those would be necessary at this time.

If you say so :).... Then masterplan goes up in the order....

i'll do this... later on in the week, or just prior to the meeting i'll try and pin down the agenda better, since one point is already tabled.

Just wishing to contribute to clarify roles and jobs, here follows a proposal for guild discussion about what i mean as a proper planning process (open to more contributions of course).

A. GENERAL MASTER PLAN

Sims’ Actual Situation Survey

Population trends’ history
Existing lots and functions (residential, commercial, public use etc)
Existing roads’ grid
Existing rivers
Altimetric sections
Survey on Sims’ citizens satisfaction and wishes

Macro Planning

Defines:
Economic goals (briefed from RA+ board of specialists)
Population goals (briefed by RA + board of specialists)
New Sims’ themes (briefed by RA + board of specialists)
New Sims’ expansion areas and orography
New Sims’ rough functional zoning
Rough roads’ grid

• Final report + cartography to be approved by RA

B. SIM PLAN

Defines:
Population goals (GMP)
Theme + economic vocation (GMP)
Orography
Functional zoning fine tuning (nr of lots, dimensions, prims etc)
Roads’ grid fine tuning

Building specs (and/or evaluation criteria) for zones define:
Acceptable theme’s structures (quality, nr of building prims, heighth)
Acceptable textures (qualitative description)
SL sustainability:
• prims available for owners
• textures’ resolution and specs
• structural perception
Emotional impact evaluation

• Final report + cartography to be approved by RA

Clarifying... you propose that the whole Guild Meeting be antecipated one hour - to the 9AM SLT (5PM BST, 6PM CET)?

no problems on my part, but i would like to know if our american citizens can make it at that hour.

American citizens do answer please. I proposed this because summing up all timing proposals it semed to be reasonable for majority.

A 9AM SLT meeting time on Sunday would be great as far as I'm concerned. My problem with 10AM is that I have a dead stop at 10:45 (for a class I attend at 11am) so always seem to have to leave before the Guild meeting is hardly started.

ok, so let's try to antecipate it to 9AM SLT then, as an experiment also for other Board meeting times.

In any case, it's hardly to expect that we take only one hour discussing the agenda :)
