The column labeled "1st Choice" is the count of first choice votes for each faction. Columns labeled "2nd Y" are the count of voters within the 1st choice group that selected faction Y as second choice. In any three faction election without elimination the first two choices determines the third.

Re: By-Election Vote Counts
Is the chart that we see complete? I see no columns labeled "2nd Y".
In any case, other than the column labeled "First Choice", and the percent column following that, this data is completely impenetrable to me. Could someone explain it?

Re: By-Election Vote Counts
Oh, sorry, by Y I meant replace Y with name of a faction.
DPU:
- Got 14 first ranked votes. (That is 14 voters put DPU as their first preference.)
- Of those 14 voters:
3 put CSDF in second place
11 put NuCARE in second place
CSDF:
- Got 22 first ranked votes.
- Of those 22 voters:
22 put DPU in second place
NuCARE:
- Got 7 first ranked votes.
- Of those 7 voters:
6 put DPU in second place
1 put CSDF in second place
