Keeping dirty laundry out of LL forums.

Post by Pelanor Eldrich »

Let's make an effort to keep our LL forum posts regarding NB positive and avoid taking the troll bait. I took some bait recently, but it wasn't NB related. :)

To add to that, assuming that Ulrika did indeed file a DMCA claim, we were legally advised to remain silent while this issue is settled legally — it's not to be discussed publicly.

Although Ulrika is very willing to discuss this matter in public and in the SL media, that's her choice, or eventually that's the advice she got from her own lawyers (although I find it a bit strange). Perhaps she really just wants to gather troll bait to present it as "evidence" — we can't know. All we know is that the DMCA claim changes our relationship with the public at large.

If you want to do any public announcements on this issue, please make sure you clear them with our PR representative, Salzie Sachertorte. Her advice has been undeniably good so far :)

On the other hand, we have lots of other things to discuss, plan, and think about... here are just a few of them that are always "pending" and take eternities to get discussed publicly:

- the auction of the Marktplatz shops
- the upcoming event for the SL 3rd Anniversary (we were invited to participate!)
- We've missed the opportunity of doing a Maifest, but we certainly should do a memorable event, perhaps by the end of June or so. Summer festival? The newest trends are "live music"; do we have any musicians among ourselves?
- What to do about the MoCA? The MoCA Board should look for someone else to run that project...

Reason: fixing old BBCode, to test if it works under 3.2.0-RC1
