Land for Sale in Colonia Nova

Post by Patroklus Murakami »

Both of my lots in Colonia Nova are up for sale - and for bargain prices - now that I've started building a new home in Locus Amoenus. The lots are:

  • [This lot has subsequently sold. Skybox Plot B.02. This 2048m2 lot is next door to Alpine Meadow with views up the mountainside to Neufreistadt and across the river to the rest of Colonia Nova. It's been my main home up in the sky for some time now. On the market at L$24500.]

Riverside Plot. This 2528m2 lot supports 578 prims and would make a great location for a substantial residence, riverside park or building project (within the terms of covenant of course!). Yours for L$30500.

What kind of mortgage terms are you offering? Is income verification required?

Last chance to purchase folks! If these parcels don't sell by 27 October I'll be returning them to state ownership (i.e. abandoning them).

Skybox Plot B.02. 2048m2/468 prims. Now only L$ 6000. Tier is US$ 17.20 (about L$ 5050/month at current exchange rate).

Riverside Plot I.03. 2528m2/578 prims. Now only L$ 7500. Tier is US$ 21.24 (about L$ 6225/month at current exchange rate).

Mortgage deals? I asks you no questions, you tells me no lies! :)

Only one lot remaining!

  • Riverside Plot I.03. 2528m2/578 prims. Now only **L$ 7500**. Tier is US$ 21.24 (about L$ 6225/month at current exchange rate).

If it doesn't go by 27 October... you miss your chance. (I will abandon the land if it doesn't sell i.e. give it back to the CDS).

Pat,
just to underline that a visitor who gets in our sims and does'nt kow we have this forum (100% of occurrencies) can hardly find your plot for sale (or mine in LA)... Don't you think we should propose to the community some tools and a location where to gather all infos about plots for sale ??

Anything that would help land sales would probably be welcome. I guess that an automated 'Land for Sale' information sign could be useful for driving more sales. But, wouldn't they just look for the yellow patches on the world map if they were looking to buy land?

Some people use SL-related sites (like SL Exchange or SL forums) to sell their land, some use their social networks and some just abandon their land. Selling using the Land sales search tool of SL seems to be quite desperate nowadays because the search logic is too limited and the big players of land business tend to take care that the beginner land buyers see first their announcements.

We can ask ourselves where an average visitor arrives at CDS area. If it's the city square in Neufreistadt then there could be a bulletin board, a booth, a shop about land sales. It would be also effective if there was "a clerk" who welcomes the visitor and considerately inquires if he is looking for land. Naturally this would require volunteer(s)... :)

I visited in Neufreistadt once a long time ago before knowing anything about CDS. The city was impressive but I had no idea that there was land for sale. Also the feeling of an abandoned ghost town was quite predominant even if it seems to be a common problem in SL in general. My observation is that quietness doesn't harm rural style sims as much as city sims.

How could we market CDS and democracy better?

I would definitely agree with the idea of a land sales shop in each sim.

Lol not so easy... volunteers are overwhelmed

Oh I had the same impression... but:
1. PIOs are working hard on organizing events in our cities (which are usually very succesful) .. stay tuned!!
2. You cannot find easily in world the quality and the stability of our urban sims..

I agree. The cities are very high-quality and Rose and Brian have made great work on organizing events there. Still there are periods when they are empty but maybe that just should be as an unavoidable part of SL.
