The Inaugural Ball for the newly elected CDS officials will be held on Sunday August 9, 2009. We are still working on details, but plan on early afternoon SLT (probably 1pm) and think in terms of "two becoming one" in celebration of the recent merger. (hint, black tie, white gowns, morning coats.. or something more traditional depending on the culture represented...) Invitations will go out next week; if there are people other than our citizens you'd like to invite to this event, send me their names!

Details:
Theme : Two become One (wedding theme)
Attire: Most of us will never do the SL Wedding thing, but that doesn't mean we can't dress up! Cultural, traditional, whatever suits your fancy!... but remember it's a formal event.
Date: Sunday August 9, 2009
Time: 1pm Piano prelude, Winters Kanto
2 pm Ceremony... If you want to speak, or have a message delivered, Please let Rose know... we'll coordinate with the DJ. Best is to drop notecards by Saturday please.
2-4 Reception... Music and Dancing with Soliel Snook of Radio Riel. If you have music requests, please send those too!
Place: Al Garnata Plaza. This is the sim that connects Colonia Nova to Al Andalus. This full sim is home to the El Tesoro Liberia de la Ahlambra, the Ancient Classics Library, and the newly relocated SL Opera House.

(For those who don't know, the Pomegranate is the symbol of the city of Granada, where the Alhambra palaces are located. There are some notes inside the invitation explaining!)

Thank you Rose for putting together this very nice party. All of it was high quality and enjoyable.

It was also wonderful to have the opportunity to meet with all of the other members of the Representative Assembly in one place outside the structure of an RA meeting.
