Events this weekend:
TODAY (Friday October 2) We have some of the best musicians in Second life performing at our venues... I thought i'd give you a little more than my usual... You won't need to polka to enjoy these three.
1 pm, Noma Falta is back! Noma Falta is a musician playing blues and soulful rock in virtual worlds and In-person around the globe. Although she is a classically trained violinist, at a young age , she left a 10 year career with symphonies to pursue her love of singing and playing live rock and blues music - and never looked back. Gospel and blues are the foundations of her singing .
5 pm Clairede Dirval at the theater of the Clouds. Full time road musician in RL for over 25 years. Now here in SL playing a plethora of venues. Clairede plays guitar & sings a variety of songs and styles. She cut her teeth on country & blues. She has played for bikers, cowboys, sailors & three piece suits. Semi retired from the road, she found SL, the road is now a short walk to her computer. 
8 pm Joaquin Gustav Joaquin is a highly trained guitarist, born and received his music education in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the birthplace of tango. Out of his fingers comes an array of string sounds that blend the colors of Latin American culture with his own elegant performing style. One of the hardest working musicians in SL, Joaquin never puts the guitar down. He is forever focused on giving one hundred percent to every performance.
SATURDAY:
10 AM. Final Match of the Oktoberfest Soccer Tourney. This week will be Alpine Meadow/Locus Amoenus v Al Andalus for the final elimination (I know the match ups aren't perfect, but since we let anyone play on any team, we are trying to get all the uniforms out there! The AM/LA team will wear the uniform of the sim with the most members playing) Tournament Cup Awarded at the ball on Sunday!
1:30 - 3:30 First CDS Pub Crawl with Soliel Snook! Soliel will usher us around to the Pubs of CDS playing Oktoberfest and Pub Music! we'll hide some steins in the pubs so you get a good chance to explore, and the steins will have prizes! Watch Group Im's for where we are, (i'll send a notice tomorrow with the expected route) and drop by to see what your neighbors have built!
SUNDAY:
9 AM: RA meeting ... let's all show up to show our reps that we do care! Where your Oktoberfest hats and shirts or dirndls and lederhosen, because you need to be ready for...
12 noon... The PARADE. Yes, we are going to try again. This time lets JUST have the bier wagons! No horses or cars or planes ..at least until the floats are on the road. Spectators should gather in Colonia Nova, Alpine Meadow or NFS to see these beautiful floats on parade.... please come to Al Garnata only if you are riding or driving in the parade on a float! (there are lots of places to ride if you want to... talk to any float builder or let me know, i'll find you a spot. The parade SHOULD take no more than 30 minutes, which gives you time to change for the....
1pm.. The Oktoberfest Closing Formal Ball with Rudo Gynoid. The Ball will be in the Neufreistadt Schloss, and here is where the winners of the Parade Contest and the soccer tournament will be awarded their prizes. Fireworks will end the ball at 3.
Finally, if you haven't been over to the Altenstadt area to ride the carousels, pick a lucky duck, kiss your sweetheart in the kissing booth, try En Garde or dunk your favorite RA member in the dunk tank (if you can find one...hehe) this is your last weekend!
