Treet.tv looking for new shows, does cds have an idea?

Post by solomon mosely »

Treet.tv, the sl broadcast company, is looking for new content.

CDS I think, has a wealth of talented, insightful people that could easily fill an entire day of quality programming. Is there a topic/ format we could do here that could A) benefit/educate the SL community B) promote the CDS C) not cause any internal CDS conflicts of any kind.

Maybe we could host a program about virtual democracy, rl political influence on virtual worlds, virtual law, something that reflected our 'mission/role' here in sl.

Do we, as the strongest sl democracy, have anything to offer the metaverse that no one else can? yes, we are a work in progress, we all have agenda items, but can we use this (sometimes painful) evolution and the events along our journey to educate others in an entertaining way? And by 'entertaining', I don't mean dancing showgirls or spinning plates (though always a great time), but engaging and worth tuning in to.

I think a CDS CSPAN would be almost as exciting and tolerable as the the real CSPAN, but there must be something we can host from here that others would find valuable.

And where would we host it? Another point we can debate for months, but we have several great public venues. It could rotate locations, which could be a fun viewing attraction, "where are they filming from now?", and also highlight the different, beautiful venues of the CDS.

There, the fuse is lit...

how about a "Meet the artist or musician" thing? we could film it at the library sim in the beautiful, fresh spaces of the new gallery and opera.
Do we have any art majors out there? any great musicians who would feel qualified and comfortable talking to other artists about their lives, influences, technical experiences with mediums, trade humorous anecdotes, travel, etc...?

Do we have an clergy of any kind who could talk god, life, and everything at the monastery or cathedral or the mosque?

I MUST have some english majors who would love to host some literary reviews, talks, with authors, some analysis and talks on classics....?

I hope i've sparked some ideas. maybe i've not done justice to potentials here and some of you reading this are saying "OMG, how could he consider a discussion of X without Y?!!!" or "He's missing the most obvious opportunity!"
You're right! what's wrong with me?! Tell us what's missing. What would be a good, better idea?
