The non profit organization, Silver Pen will be taking over the El Tesoro Library in Al Garnata sim. They may eventually rebuild the building, but many of the groups organizers are new and they need some time to operate the program without worrying about nuances of SL. Please keep this in mind in your interactions with them, and help if you can!
Silver Pen 's goal is to promote literacy across America, bring the writing guilds in SL into Silver Pen as members and use the Silver Pen Forum for workshopping. They hope to have their own audio books in the library as well as the classics. They want to bring all writing SL groups together and continue this kind of work in first life as well.
I am very happy to have them in Al Garnata. Their work will complement the work of other developing projects, including the cafe, Fugit Hora, being developed by Jayme Mistwalker and Sterling Troughton in Colonia Nova, and the Al Qantara libray in Al Andalus Alhambra.
This group of enthusiastic writers comes to us at the recommendation of Apollo Manga, and Arias Ahren, two citizens who joined CDS during the O L land policy phase. These writers are members of the popular Zoetrope Virtual Studios workshops, and Silver Pen is made up of professional, published writers including a pushcart nominated poet.
