Thank you all for attending today's meeting. Since everyone was there, was it a fluke or could noon on Tuesday be a compatible time for everyone? My current thought is that we will meet for ONLY two hours at a time. If we don't cover the agenda allocated for a particular day, we will meet weekly to catch up. If we do, we can meet every other week. So the number, but not the length, of our RA meetings will be a direct product of our preparation and timeliness.

Saturdays at 10 am appear to be the next most likely time.

As indicated before, I cannot usually attend Tuesday meetings. Yesterday was a 'one-off'. I can make Saturdays at noon.

I can also make a weekday meeting at noon provided it is *not* on a Tuesday.

[Edited to clarify flexibility on dates]

Saturdays would practically exclude me from the meetings.

I've taken all the information posted here, and as suspected, there is no time that fits all schedules. In fact, the most popular times fit 9 people.

The times most people are "generally" available are Saturday at noon and Thursday at noon. There are people who can never meet at each of those times. The most fair way to handle the issue is to do alternate weeks at each time.

I"d appreciate feedback on alternating weeks, but for now will call the next meeting of the 13th RA, for Saturday June 5 at 12 noon. I will post an agenda later today, which will include the Chancellor election, and discussion of the proposed agenda items for the term. Please send me your indications of interest for the various commissions by Friday.

I will cross post this on the RA thread.

Actually I think a steady time would be better to remember. Have not all elected RA-members judged that they could be present at Sundays at 9 am as the 12th RA used? At least I informed my family so they were prepared to leave our computor at that time.

This is harder than herding cats! Someone needs to propose a time, the leader of the RA perhaps?

The RA has met on many different days and times over the history of the CDS. We are trying to be more accessible to more people. Only six people indicated availability at 9 am on Sunday. That's not even a quorum.

Ranma, I did :) The next meeting is Saturday June 5 at noon slt.

Apologies. I can't make it this Saturday and would like to request a 7-day vote on all items, including the Chancellor election.

If anyone else who previously indicated that they would be available on saturday will not be there this week, Please let me know as soon as possible. I'd rather not break up Saturday afternoon either if we will be inquorate for the first meeting.

Although Saturday at noon is generally ok for me, I did not anticipate last month that we would be holding meetings at this time. So I must regretfully also request a 7-day vote as I have a prior commitment on June 5 that will keep me away from my computer until 3pm at the earliest.

Hmm I'll request a permanent 7-day vote on the whole of the 13th term, since I will never manage to attend any meeting on Saturdays at noon :(

I"m going to chart this again, and come up with another time. The meeting for Saturday is cancelled.

It is clear there will be no time that works for everyone, so i'll pick times that are logical and convenient. Members who have chosen ONLY times during US working hours should reconsider if they are truly being flexible. The temptation is to pick alternate times each week, at the same time in different continents. So if 12 on sunday works for EU people, which is roughly 6-8 pm sunday night for you, are you prepared to accommodate US people at 7 pm slt, which will be? 4 am for you?

WE can do 7 members any time of the day. But it isn't acceptable to me that people chosen to represent the community are "never" available to participate in the meetings.

Please re examine your "never available" times and amend as much as you can. I don't want to meet at what is 2 pm on Saturday afternoon either. But i will, because i made a commitment to the community.

I'll re run the chart on Thursday, and announce when the meeting will take place. Thank you for your cooperation.
