13th RA Meeting Time(s)

I'll revisit the times I posted and try to be more flexible but.. there's a limit. I can't attend meetings during working hours for example. [Done]

This used to be the toughest job an incoming LRA had so I can sympathise with Rose in trying to find a time for us to meet. It is hellishly difficult with so many people and several different time zones. (Perhaps an argument for having a smaller RA as I have suggested? It's easier to find a time when 7 people can meet then 13. Just thought I'd mention that!)

Alternating meetings at EU-friendly and US-friendly times would probably help too.

ok, this can only go on for so long. the most convenient time for the most people will be picked and the meetings will be held. we've always had people who couldn't make all meetings, it happens. we do our best.

maybe a weekly meeting would be good, but have one at the best weekday time, and one on the best weekend time. this may have been suggested, but i haven't bothered to read every entry here. i got the thrust of most of the messages a while ago.

I've noted your inability to attend any meetings on Saturday. Unfortunately, this is the day when the most people can attend. I've proposed that we alternate the RA meetings and that will be discussed if we ever get a meeting with a quorum.

As for calendar postings, the CDS calendar has notoriously excluded many events in the last term, so i personally stopped using it. A public information office will presumably be named this term, though there was none last term, and it will be their job to handle the communications and calendar postings.

Sorry, I have been on a no access internet journey and seeing when coming home that I have a more important political RL conference Saturday at 6.30 am PDT and I am not sure I will be able to attend RA at least not from the beginning. I request 7 day vote.

I should be around But I second Rose's suggestion of having alternating times, during the weekend and during the week days. And I wouldn't mind having one meeting per week (instead of every other week). This term's overall agenda is packed full with things to decide and we could definitely use more meeting time to go through all of them and make a good job in this term...

As an elected member of Representative Assembly, I expect, that alternative times, as Gwyn proposed, are used. Allowing only certain group of representatives to participate to the elections is against principles of democracy.

I've got some bad news... something came up and I will not be in front of a computer during the whole weekend. I've been assigned to do some volunteer work iRL. So hmm I'll be trying to attend the meeting from the iPhone, although from some testing I've done, I think I'll only manage to log in with my alt, Gwyneth Lewellen, as the inventory on my usual avatar is far too large for the iPhone
