I meant between Sonja and Cindy. I am not interested in an elected position. I like being the janitor and cleaning up the trash.
Great news! You'rev leaving, then?
No Robert: I am building and having a good time helping develop Locus Amoenus into a prosperous sim. I find it somewhat tedious but I have attended every RA meeting since my arrival and have listened to and helped many with their projects. By trash I mean remaining vigilant and attempting to alert those in the community about deceitful and usurious people who mislead others; the con man usurping the innocent of their monies to help build egocentric and unrealistic dreams that many impoverished dreamers dream.
No wonder you hate lawyers: listening to third-hand rumors about people you never met and spreading them around would get you blasted in any court of law... If that's how you ran your rl businesses, old man, I'm not surprised you lost everying and you're stuck to playing with virtual pixels to fulfill your youthful dreams at the end of your life... Rather sad, viejito... Enjoy playing your pathetic, old Don Quichote role in your hubris bubble, if that's all you have left...

Since you are no longer a citizen of either of the projects involved here, perhaps you could find something more constructive to do with your ample free time? Standing on the sidelines pulling faces and blowing raspberries at people *doing something* in the CDS just looks a bit... sad.

Now, does this mean that you believe I'm Australian? Or is it - yet another - thinly veiled piece of abuse?
Caro, come now, who would dream of abusing such a positive person as you?
I'm sure you and Pat and Baggy sit in your secret clubhouse and just laugh yourselves sick over cracks like that. But from here it looks kind of:
Cute: You certainly have me pegged!

Yes, participation has merit. In particular, we ought to participate actively in the roles to which we commit. I'll just take a moment here to point out that while I have been participating actively as RA member and also as chancellor candidate both in attendance at meetings and in active discussion about the issues that face us, I've lately begun to notice that Sonja is almost completely absent in her current role as chancellor and chancellor candidate. I'd be interested in hearing her opinions on all of this. Actually, I'd be interested to hear a final report from last term. We did not have a budget so she cannot report on last term's budget status, but it certainly would be useful to hear a report by budget category on what we spent in each area versus previous terms. Even a formal summary of last term's achievements from Sonja's perspective would be a good start.
Sonja introduced me to CDS and she was my first friend here. In fact, we're still friends: I have great respect for her even though we differ on politics. But I announced as a candidate for chancellor because I felt that despite all of the challenges she faced last term, Sonja did not do enough to move forward on even the most basic responsibilities of the office, namely setting budget priorities and administering contractual obligations of the community. And I am still a candidate because even now I see no activity in the chancellor's office on budget or contractual issues. Is it possible that this is what six members of the RA are interested in seeing from the Chancellor for the current term? And if so, perhaps you can explain to the other seven members why you have such low expectations. I commented half in jest above that one definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and expecting a different result. Seems to me that to re-elect Sonja is either a case of group insanity or an expression of some intentions that as a member of the RA majority I'd be interested to hear explained in detail by each of those six members of the RA minority.

to what do I owe the honor of this trolling flame?
Ahhh... Bag's, try and forgive the poor girl. she sits over there all day with all of those AA'ers and you've heard em all. It would bring the very best to something like this.
Robert: Imagine some poor homeless waif, living under a freeway ramp somewhere in this wide world of ours, with a, “broken laptop”, the “victim of identity theft.” At a recent meeting I proposed that we should start a foundation where we could put working laptops in the hands of all of the worlds homeless so that they could join Second Life and still build their palace in the sun.
