CDS has been an event partner of the Metanomics programs since the beginning of Metanomics in 2007. (I was the original hostess for the program when we set it up in the then unused Amphitheater.) Metanomics has announced their fall program, which will begin October 4 and returns to the original (primarily) Monday broadcast date. CDS used the metanomics broadcasts as both a marketing effort to bring in new citizens, as well as a way to spread information of the CDS project. I believe that Beta Technologies became an event partner as well, in the fall of 2009 (possibly earlier) and the CDS population's attendance fell dramatically. The last few sessions hosted in CDS had only a few people in attendance. To my knowledge, there was no host/hostess appointed after February 1, 2009, and no current member of the exec staff appears on the metanomics distribution list.
Does CDS want to continue this affiliation? If so, let me know and i'll make sure the appropriate people are given to the Metanomics organizers. There are technical requirements for the production that may conflict with the current uses of the amphitheater. If we do not wish to sponsor and promote the programs, we should let the metanomics people know and remove the Metanomics signs from around the sims.
