VOTING NOT WORKING!

Post by Bromo Ivory »

I tried to vote this morning before going in to work. Voting booth was there, thankfully, but got an error message:

Sounds like the software isn't working. I can't tell if the server is down or not, but the URL listed below indicates the server is running but has no content.

I really hope the booth hasn't indicated I voted because I haven't since it did manage to give me the "I voted" button.

I guess you didn't read the notice above the polling booth?

Polls don't open until noon usually iirc

Since Bromo apparently isn't reading other people's comments on the various threads here, I am guessing others may also have missed this post by Delia Lake on Thursday Nov 17th.

I am waiting to receive the booths from Jon Seattle so that I can place them for the commencement of voting at noon today.

People often say that, in a democracy, decisions are made by a majority of the people. Of course, that is not true. Decisions are made by a majority of those who make themselves heard and who vote -- a very different thing.

Bromo, if you'd looked above the booth, you'd have seen Delia's message to the effect that the Booth won't yet be live.

If all goes to schedule, it will be ready after noon, today.

It's 4.55am SLT so I'm off to the first of Trebor's meetings in the NFS Bierhaus.

Pip my meeting is Sunday not Saturday. 5am and 5pm.

Let us move away from all of the "us" and "them" and turn our attention to "we."

Ah ... well serves me right for not waiting long enough for it to Rez properly.

Anyway looks like it is a-ok now.
