Declaration to Withdraw Chancellor’s Veto

Post by Trebor Warcliffe »

I am exercising the Chancellor’s withdraw on the veto I enacted on December 13th 2011 in regards to Actions 5 and Actions 6 of the previous RA meeting.

I felt Action 5, the setting up of a commission, was unnecessary at that time because enough time wasn’t given to the NG to fill the vacant seat of the Secretary of the Board of the New Guild. I also felt that citizen input wasn’t taken into consideration before the RA held a vote on the motion.

I felt Action 6, the voting in of a chair of the committee who wouldn’t be able to hold a meeting until January didn’t provide opportunity to other citizens who may have had an interest in chairing the committee and be able to hold a meeting before January.

I held a New Guild meeting this morning December 18th at 8am SLT. In attendance was myself, Shep, Tor, Pat, and Sudane. No candidates for the Secretary of the Board of the New Guild made the meeting. I feel that enough time has now been given to fill this position and since no one showed an interest I am withdrawing my veto. I feel the reasons for my veto are no longer applicable.

On a personal note please remember my actions as Chancellor are based on my position of being Chancellor. I am not making these decisions based on my personal opinions, feelings, and beliefs and I’m not making these decisions based on who may or may not be involved. I’m making these decisions on what I feel is in the best interest to the people I serve, our citizens. Even though some people may have a hard time understanding this I honestly feel there is a difference between Trebor the citizen and Trebor the Chancellor. I take my position of Chancellor very seriously.

Thank you,
Trebor Warcliffe

Let us move away from all of the "us" and "them" and turn our attention to "we."
