Sudane has completed the installation of all Hippo tier boxes in all 5 sims. We will no longer be collecting tier through the old system. I have placed signs at the three old system payment areas to remind everyone. The Hippo tier boxes will activate on February 1st so please hold all payments until that day. In order to make your tier payment all you have to do is right-click on the Hippo tier box that is located just outside your parcel. If you have multiple parcels in the CDS you must go to each Hippo box and pay the tier for that parcel.
Currently located outside the 3 old payment areas we have placed the Hippo Rental Finder which will show you any and all parcels you pay tier on in Hippo that is web enabled, which all our parcels are. These rental finders will remain in-world but may be relocated in the future. Tier is calculated on a monthly basis (30 day period) with the minimum amount being one month and the maximum amount being three months.
There are a few things I will cover in this posting, if I forget anything or you have a question you can post it here or make contact with me, Tor, or Lilith. Hippo will allow for one owner and one partner to be listed on the Hippo box. Owners and partners are described as an individual avatar, not a group.
Private sales of parcels is an important topic that needs to be covered. With Hippo we have allowed for the Refund Tier option. If you dispose of your parcel whether it's by giving it back to the CDS, sold or given to another individual, your account is in good standing and you have tier remaining on the parcel in question than the remaining tier will be refunded to you. An important thing to remember is that from now on when you sell a parcel to an individual your tier is not transferrable to the new owner. It's important that the new owner of the parcel also pays the tier on the parcel within 24 hours from time of purchase. With a citizen to an individual sale the new owner must purchase the parcel through the About Land tab. An email will automatically be sent to the current Hippo Managers and you can also contact one of them directly to make them aware of the sale. The Hippo Manager will than go into the Hippo system and remove the old tenant so that the new tenant can click on the Hippo and pay their first months tier.
