I am VERY proud to announce that today I have finished preparing and uploading the financial reports for EVERY month in the history of the CDS. The reports can be found here:

The very first one is dated April 2005 (the CDS was actually founded in 2004, but had no land and therefore no finances) and is comprised of only the Linden Lab "Statement". It shows that we bought the sim "Neualtenburg" on April 25, 2005. By the next month, as you can see, I had setup a proper financial reporting system. Every month since that time a complete financial report has been generated. I'm very happy to point out that since October 2011 Trebor Warcliffe has provided wonderful assistance in preparing the actual reports from data I provide, and writing helpful explanations. I'm really grateful for his help.

The CDS is really an extraordinary venture in community structure and experience. It is unique in social media history. I'm very happy to have made sure it had and has a financial recording-keeping system to go along with it. As we progress towards out amazing 10th anniversary in the fall of 2014, we ought to celebrate what an extraordinary institution we are.

Thank you, Sudane and Trebor! Being interested in history I will read them all. Just the bit i went through is telling stories. Looks like a professional format btw, tempted to use that in other contexts for my own purposes. Trebor' explanatory letters start October 2011, reading them makes it easy to understand the bare numbers from the early days. Good job, my compliment.
