I suspect that, as far as franchulates are concerned, people are rather more likley to enfranchulate by acquiring land for the first time through us, rather than putting their existing land under our control (as people tend to be reluctant to part with degrees of control that they already have, even when they receive benefits in return).
Thinking about ways to make the proposition of franchulates even more attractive to purchasers of land, the idea of mortgages sprang to mind. A CDS bank (such as Eldrich Financial) could offer mortgages to people who seek to purchase land on the mainland to join us as a franchulate to help them to spread the cost, and make it more attractive for people, especially those new to SecondLife, to enfranchulate with us, rather than simply to buy land straight from LL (a mortgage, after all, can only work where there is a mechanism for repossession if payments are not maintained).
This might be particularly attractive for those looking for commercial investments in larger mainland land holdings, where the other benefits of franchulates would also be at their highest.
