How do I change this stuff under my name?

'Passionate Protagonist' indeed

I'd like to change this but can't find the section on my profile. Is there some tekkie-wiki magic I have to perform? Or do I have to ask a site admin to change my moniker to 'Social Democrat'?

Answers on a postcard to the usual address please

The contribution titles do seem a little flakey to me. "Social Democrat" is too loaded, however. Besides, "Passionate Protagonist" is better than "Mass Debater".

But 'Social Democrat' is what I want! Is this connected to numbers of posts? Or did Ash choose 'I need a hobby' as his title?

No, it's connected to number of posts: it's a common thing in forums to have ranks determined by numbers of posts.

Most boards have it linked to number of posts, and then (in addition) an admin can set special titles for individual accounts. Hence mine, it seems.

Hehe... this was an unilateral and undemocratic decision by the SC (who still moderates the official forums) which provided a list of titles and the required number of posts to "level up". The cute owls was my own addition, to indicate how far up in the hierarchy a title is.
