[quote="Carolyn Saarinen":1sp58wjp]I've just received an e-mail telling me that my horse has been removed from the Colonia Nova Forum. I left him there, because - like all CN citizens and merchants - I am not allowed to set Landmarks to teleport directly to my property. I therefore need a means of transport to get from the Forum TP point to my property. I have chosen a resonably authentic means of transport to accomplish this. I intend to continue using some form of transport to overcome this problem, until I am allowed to set Landmarks to my property. If a horse is not permitted, I will use another means of transport. If my transport is returned to my Lost and Found file, I will re-rez it in the Forum.[/quote:1sp58wjp]
This isn't quite the thread for it Carolyn, but firstly:
You can easily teleport to your property, but due to a quirk with how telehubs work, you have to be within the estate. which is to say, you click on your landmark, it sets up the beacon and ports you the hub; from the hub you may port again directly to your property. (I fly, since I'm usually looking around the sim on the way, but I could port just as easily.)
Secondly: I returned it. This is the sort of thing I'm supposed to do; you are not permitted to make your own semi-permanent modifications to city land without clearing it through the Chancellor (or designated official, should we get to that point). Had you [i:1sp58wjp]asked[/i:1sp58wjp], I may well have said yes, or given you the above tip. Without any notification, I figured you had simply been riding and neglected to pick the horse back up when you were done. This isn't anything I even thought twice about; I forget to clean up after myself depressingly often!
That said, I don't think I could approve it for the simple reason that I don't think the Forum would be improved by everyone keeping out their own personal transport right in the middle of it. I would suggest the above work-around, or submitting a bill to the RA to turn off the telehub in Colonia Nova. (As removing the hub would substantially change the nature and value of the Forum, I believe it is beyond the scope of the executive's powers to legally do so unilaterally.)
