I've just received an e-mail telling me that my horse has been removed from the Colonia Nova Forum. I left him there, because - like all CN citizens and merchants - I am not allowed to set Landmarks to teleport directly to my property. I therefore need a means of transport to get from the Forum TP point to my property. I have chosen a resonably authentic means of transport to accomplish this. I intend to continue using some form of transport to overcome this problem, until I am allowed to set Landmarks to my property. If a horse is not permitted, I will use another means of transport. If my transport is returned to my Lost and Found file, I will re-rez it in the Forum.[/quote:1sp58wjp]

This isn't quite the thread for it Carolyn, but firstly:

You can easily teleport to your property, but due to a quirk with how telehubs work, you have to be within the estate. which is to say, you click on your landmark, it sets up the beacon and ports you the hub; from the hub you may port again directly to your property. (I fly, since I'm usually looking around the sim on the way, but I could port just as easily.)

Secondly: I returned it. This is the sort of thing I'm supposed to do; you are not permitted to make your own semi-permanent modifications to city land without clearing it through the Chancellor (or designated official, should we get to that point). Had you [i:1sp58wjp]asked[/i:1sp58wjp], I may well have said yes, or given you the above tip. Without any notification, I figured you had simply been riding and neglected to pick the horse back up when you were done. This isn't anything I even thought twice about; I forget to clean up after myself depressingly often!

That said, I don't think I could approve it for the simple reason that I don't think the Forum would be improved by everyone keeping out their own personal transport right in the middle of it. I would suggest the above work-around, or submitting a bill to the RA to turn off the telehub in Colonia Nova. (As removing the hub would substantially change the nature and value of the Forum, I believe it is beyond the scope of the executive's powers to legally do so unilaterally.)

[13:39] Mizou Vavoom: Carolyn the swim water was not part of the initial deal it was an additional thing

13:40] Mizou Vavoom: i delivred the waterfall as we had agreed and told u about the possibility of swimwater which u bought and added to ur pool
[13:41] Mizou Vavoom: the fact that th eswimwater does not work has nothing to do with me as i dont supply that or sold it to u.
[13:42] Mizou Vavoom: As far as i am concerned i delivrered the goofs in good shape and in good time.
[13:42] Mizou Vavoom: goods

[13:44] Mizou Vavoom: U asked me to do additional work: delink pllwater from the rest which i would have done u even asked me how much that would cost.
[13:44] Mizou Vavoom: Case is closed.

You appear to inhabit some fantasy land in which I get to pay you for telling me what to think. This is an error. Keep the money. Remove your items from my land. I intend to sell ALL of my property in both NFS and CN. You and your friends can have the sims to yourselves.

The above posting is in violation of several forum moderation guidelines, namely:
6.2: Abusing the forums by addressing issues that are a simple dispute between two parties. These matters should be solved by contacting directly the individuals in question and in cases where this fails to bring a resolution the matter should be brought before the SC for arbitration.

6.3: Making libelleous statements intended to defamate a person or group; put into jeopardy his standing within the community or to appeal to the sympathy of the forum in an ongoing dispute, which is better solved through private conversation or by arbitration with the SC.[/quote:sqkiijeg]
Additionally, this post is entirely unrelated to the question of 'litter in the Marktplatz'. Please be advised by the following excerpt of the forum moderation guidelines:
3.3: When responding to a post, consider if the topic has drifted away from that of the original post and if so, consider posting your reply as a separate thread.[/quote:sqkiijeg]
For your information the forum moderation guidelines can be found by clicking here[/url:sqkiijeg]. I ask that you please read them and take care to abide by them in the future as no further warning will be given.

If you feel that the above warning is unjust you can appeal the decision by contacting a member of the Scientific Council giving a justification for your point of view. Please be advised that this justification will be published in full keeping in line with the ideals of transparency in government.

Firstly, I have not in [i:1x4eyus4]any way[/i:1x4eyus4] broken [i:1x4eyus4]any[/i:1x4eyus4] of the guidelines which you quote.

Secondly, I do not now, and never have acknowledged the authority of the unelected and undemocratic SC to tell what to think, do, or say.

Thirdly, you Diderot are a [OPINION CENSORED BY SC][/color:1x4eyus4]. You were [OPINION CENSORED BY SC][/color:1x4eyus4]. Diderot's comment aside... what does this have to do with anything at all?

There doesn't appear to be a specified thread for "I'm not taking any more shit" posts, any more than there is a thread for "let's have proper teleport options" posts. So I thought I'd carry on here. I'm sure Diderot will quote me the appropriate regulation.

I'm not allowed to advertise my land for sale, because of CDS's wonky covenants. If you want to make an offer for any of my land let me know. Prices [i:yubuc39q]will[/i:yubuc39q] be higher for members of the CDS clique.

You could have posted a new thread. It's done all the time!

On the contrary, there are many ways you could advertise. A sign on the property is popular; posting on the LL forums and here, perhaps an ad on SL Exchange if you really wished to go for it. (Although, having looked over your current one, you may wish to tweak the script - as it is, it's trying to hand out the wrong notecard.)

That said, I do not wish to encourage you to leave. You may find this difficult to believe, but in-world you have been a reasonably gracious person. I will not try to talk you out of it, as I doubt you care to listen to me, but... I'll point out there's many a landbaron who's response to this would be to kick you out, sans land or refund, and ban you from the estate; your parting shot would not be terribly effective. if we are all lawbound, bureaucratic dolts, then at least give us the credit of being true to ourselves.

Pardon me. Trying to make signs while cross-eyed with rage can lead to scripting errors. It will be fixed.

Actually I [i:1jku7eb3]don't[/i:1jku7eb3] find that difficult to believe, but maybe you do.

Erm, let me puzzle that out. By [i:1jku7eb3]not[/i:1jku7eb3] stealing my property you are doing me a favour, is that right? What a loss you are to the Diplomatic Service Aliasi.
if we are all lawbound, bureaucratic dolts, then at least give us the credit of being true to ourselves.[/quote:1jku7eb3]

So, you're a true dolt and proud of it? Well, take pride where you can find it I suppose. Actually my objection is not to to the CDS being 'lawbound' but to it's pretense at being governed by law, whilst actually being a self-serving little clique that re-invents it's rules as it goes along.

Thirdly, you Diderot are a shithead. You were born a shithead. You live a shithead. You will die a shithead. The sooner the better.[/quote:1bqixxyx]Hi Carolyn,

I have been asked to moderate this post because it violates the moderation guidelines.

I won't quote the rules, or get into the other (apparent) violations in your posts on this same thread (and others), but you can safely assume that the fact that you called one of the moderators a "shithead" and issued a quasi death-threat, is probably key to this decision.

In keeping with the forum moderation guidelines, I am formally asking you to moderate yourself. We value free speech in the CDS (which is how I can get away with saying what a silly name "CDS" is all the time ;) ), and [i:1bqixxyx]will not censor your opinions[/i:1bqixxyx].

Here is the big official decision though ...

[b:1bqixxyx]You have three days to moderate this post (remove it or rephrase it, and apologise or make amends in some way), or your forum posting privileges will be revoked.
[/b:1bqixxyx]
I am busy at work right now and don't have access to the letter of the law, but I am fairly certain that after that the SC reviews the moderation action and determines the length of the ban or if it's permanent etc.

Please note that I am doing this merely as part of my duties and that it's nothing personal. I have always found you to be a pleasant person the few times I have seen you around. The only reason I am stepping in at all is that the other moderators are not sufficiently removed from the situation so as to be considered "bias-free" in this case.

New Land Caretaker

Post by Sonja Strom »

Our Chancellor Jamie Palisades has announced in Executive Branch Announcements here
http://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2143
that I am now a Land Caretaker.

If you see any litter please let me know (by IM is fine), and I will clean it up.
