Here you might discuss basically everything.

Silly mistake — scripted objects returned :-(

Post by Gwyneth Llewelyn »

Hello all,

A few moments ago, I came across a rather large number of scripted objects from unknown users (ie. non-citizens). Most didn't lag too much, but they were suspicious enough, so I proceeded to select them to return them.

However, I pressed the "Return All" instead of the "Return All SELECTED" button my mistake (they're very near to each other). These actions do NOT have a confirmation, so sadly enough, this meant that about 1000 objects were returned accidentally.

Well, the sim runs much faster now, but I do truly apologise for the mistake, specially to the ones whose objects were affected. No, this was not a censorship measure, just a plain, simple mistake...

I'm really sorry about that.

At this point, I'd personally like to ask you all to make lists of anything you find missing.

Just like to confirm the request. Please make lists of everything that needs doing or replacing in order to get back to normal. Everything that was inadvertently returned is in SOME person's Lost and Found folder. In fact, its in the "Owner's" lost and found folder. Please see if you can remember, when you make the list, who the "Owner" might have been, if indeed you don't find the object in your own folder.

Please give the list to me or Gwyn, and we'll try to work out a solution from there.

If you need help with basic things, like re-locating your own home on your parcel, please let us know about that, too. We'll figure out how to help you out.

I just wanted to point out that despite the fact that the SC will discuss "charges against Kendra Bancroft for violating the constitution by conspiring to prevent the SC from exercising their constitutional prerogative of closing a forum", that she logged in and replaced all the items of hers that you deleted.

Compare this to how no member of your group will reply to an email or forum post requesting third-party mediation.

You've shown you can take, how about giving a little and replying to the mediation thread. Hm?

An interesting (alternative) explanation on why the Estate Tools did not work as I thought they did:

Maybe I have pressed right button after all...? In any case, the "sim janitors" should take double care when cleaning up rogue scripts! [i:1ws9o8en]Caveat utilitor[/i:1ws9o8en]...
