Hello Fellow Citizens,
Many of the older citizens will remember that at one time we had a community store in Neufreistadt. I can't speak to the success of the venture as it was empty when I came to the city. It has been my desire for some time to see it back up and running and today marks the start of public movement in that direction.
Next to Moon's fetchwork shop, you'll find a new storefront with a nice big glass window that I hope will soon feature the items of many of our citizens who have things to sell, but perhaps not the storefront to display them.
For the time being, I'm administering the shop, but I hold no special claim to this role than that I am active. There is a group for the shop for those who think they might like to help me shape its future. In particular, I would welcome members of the trade association who wish to be involved as we know part of what makes a sim feel welcoming is full storefronts and well-furnished buildings.
Interested? Consider taking one of these steps:
- [b:2nu0axz1]e-mail me or im me a note about what you would like to sell in the shop. [/b:2nu0axz1]I won't be rude and reject things, but I'd like to know who you are before you leave a vendor there.
- [b:2nu0axz1]think about how you sell items with minimal space. [/b:2nu0axz1]Moon and Pat have nearby shops that sell this primarily by using a one prim cube with the "buy contents" feature enabled. This will likely be our preferred method to start
- [b:2nu0axz1]consider what role you might play in helping clean up the marketplatz.[/b:2nu0axz1] A main reason I'm doing this is that I think the cityneeds renewal. If you have a shop, put some furniture or more vending units up to fill up your space better. If you have an office, put in a few chairs and some items so it feels welcoming. If you have a building, make sure it lines up and mostly is even in height and position to the others on the platz. If you need help, ask for it.
- [b:2nu0axz1]let me know if you want to jump in a help manage this. [/b:2nu0axz1]I have not great passion for commerce so if you think you can make this thing go, then let's talk. If nothing else, I could use another person who would help round up things to sell from lesser-known CDS citizens so our shop is full.
Thank you for your time,
Chicago
