I just read in an RL news source about the RL 'new town' of 'Jakriborg' (situated about 15 minutes by train from where I live), which is a modern day village consisting of houses inspired by pre-industrial, Hanseatic architecture with a striking resemblance to that of Neufreistadt.
Take a look at their Wikipedia entry[/url:pmzwk3qk] for some architectural inspiration.
When the weather gets better I might pay a visit bringing along my camera.
Also Wikipedia links to the related British project of Poundbury[/url:pmzwk3qk], with the following CDS-similar features in terms of city planning and management:
To avoid constant construction, utilities are buried in common utility ducts under the town. Common areas are maintained by a management company to which all residents belong.[/quote:pmzwk3qk]
