First of all, calling it the Kill Bill is rather Tarantinoesque .What about calling this something like the code consolidation act?

I've expressed several of my concerns about this bill in the Legislative Discussion forum. Primarily, I don't believe we need to repeal bills which are merely obsolete. Publius mentioned this afternoon the idea of reorganizing the code into titles by subject. This may well be a good idea, though I'd like to consider it separately from a massive repeal.

I've read the comments in the Legislative Discussion forum.

I agree with Publius' revised view that what we need is a reorganisation of what we have rather than a mass cull of legislation that is no longer in force. All it really needs is a reorganisation of material on the wiki (which I'm grateful to Claude for initiating).

If we were to discuss passage of the Bill we'd have to look at what has been proposed carefully. As Claude has pointed out, some of the candidates for deletion (including NL 3-8 Texture Size Reduction Act) require other changes to be made - to covenants, for example. Surely we need to make those changes first before we start deleting legislation willy-nilly?

I see no benefit to passage of the 'Kill Bill'; we could (and should) achieve the same result through non-legislative means.
