Howdy! This is just a general information post... cause, I was readin things, and everyone's asking "where's the PIO? and who took my sandwitch?!" Well, I can answer the first one readily enough.
I'm here, but yes, I've sadly been slacking in the last few weeks. Without going into any real detail about my real life, the burden of paying all the bills in the household has fallen on my shoulders. Ya'll are like "well, duh. so what, suck it up!" two problems:
1) I'm still a college student. So, time's eaten up there.
2) Work's eating more time than I expected. I'm only online for a few hours a night, and the hours are usually when no one else is on. (I hate playing IM tag)
ooh. and a 2.01) I'm 19. I don't need this pressure. >_>
But... saying that, it's no excuse for me to really be slacking off. I could have notified someone to perform some duties, or given some inclination as to what I'm trying to accomplish. So, for that, I apologize. But, hey, new year, new beginning, right?
...yes, I know it's February. >_> just bear with me for a moment.
Now, I know some of you are gonna cry "foul!" and demand for a new PIO. That's fine and good. Until I can actually sit down with either Aliasi or Sudane and talk about what I'm trying to accomplish, it's a viable option. Not saying I -want- to get fired, mind you, but, that it's an understandable complaint.
Now, to address what I'm actually -trying- to do:
1) get some notariety or advertising in various SL publications, as well as trying to re-open communications with James Au. favorable ones, mind you.
2) Problems I ran into with advertising is that our sims don't really offer any... crowd-pleasing institutions. So, I'm trying to figure out a good "billboard" ad for both NFS and CN.
3) something that's a -long- way off, but, info-boxes. I don't know how it is in the UK, but around America, you can find little plaques that detail history of a place/historical site. So... put those around NFS and CN. not... that we have decades of history (though... if a day is a few hours in SL... how long in SL-time have we been around? o.O) but we could give little "info freebies". Idea directly taken from CoH, but, give the person a little treasure map, if they find all the information plaques, they get a free t-shirt or something.
