[2021/09/25 10:21] Rosie Gray: it is critical that the buildings be inspected and approved, or not approved, in a timely manner
[2021/09/25 10:22] Rosie Gray: this has been shown by how we have become stuck with an inappropriate building in the past, simply because nobody has actually looked at it in time to do anything about it

[2021/09/25 10:22] Rosie Gray: 7) It must be clarified with each incoming Chancellor their preference for inspecting new buildings - do they want to always be involved or do they want the LUC to take the initiative - stressing that inspections should be done in as timely a manner as possible so as not to inconvenience the citizen.
[2021/09/25 10:23] Rosie Gray: so that each new Chancellor can decide how they want the inspections to take place, but stressing that they MUST take place, and that we MUST have a way for new people.. and old people too, to know what to expect

[2021/09/25 10:38] Delia Lake: over the years we have had chancellors who have had different competencies. only one of the tasks of chancellor is to approve the builds. so a chancellor may do a very good job of all the other tasks but not have an aesthetic sense. when we are lucky we have chancellors that have all that's needed. the problem to me comes if the chancellor doesn't know that he or she has no aesthetic sense. I don't think we can really legislate how a chancellor and the LUC work together but probably we can ask that the LUC and the chancellor be in consultation but ultimately the chancellor has to make the decisions. As I said last meeting though it would help to have photo examples for each region
